"Th-The doors aren't shutting!" I yell. I'm still reeling from Jess not showing up.
"Wh-What do you mean?!" Max demands. I point outside, and sure enough, the doors aren't shutting. Oh no, the siren is starting!
"Weapons of class 4 and lower have been authorized for use during the Purge. All other weapons are restricted. Government officials of ranking 10 have been granted immunity from the Purge and shall not be harmed. Commencing at the siren, any and all crime, including murder, will be legal for 12 continuous hours." Oh shit... We're all panicking! Jin, and Max are trying to stay calm, but failing. Shelby is hyperventilating, and Ross is spacing out.
"T-To the basement!" I shout. I start running, and they follow. We enter the door, and lock it.
"Sky what the hell happened?!" Jin asks.
"I-I d-don't know! They were working earlier!" We stop yelling, realizing that any noise we make might show people where we are. After about half an hour of sitting in the dark, there's a voice.
"Come out Sky," There's the sound of a gun fired into the air. It's so loud! "I'm your biggest fan!"
