Chapter3- Ready to give up

This unknown feeling is too much to handle. So I run into the bathroom without Tyler and guess who follows me in there. "you're not supposed to be in here are you crazy?!" I just stare at him, this boy really doesn't listen. "No I was just seeing if you're alright because if you not I'm going to have to kick that guys ass even more." Just as I am checking the stalls of the bathroom making sure no girl is in here he comes toward me I was a little freaked out I mean we just met! Before I knew what he was coming to me he puts his hands on the stall I am leaning on he leans in and kisses me I panic because no boy has kissed me ever!

I should stop him but I can't it's just too tempting. Like he was meant to be kissing me. Our lips move in sync. Finally regaining strength I slowly back away and just looking at him "what?" he asks "what are we doing? We are in the girls bathroom and we don't even know each other don't you think that is a little weird?!" I'm looking at him in shock "no" No! I was thinking what, what is wrong with this boy! "I mean Devonna don't you feel like we known each other like forever?" as I was about to answer a girl walks in we all look at each other then she looks at me in disgust. I walk out of the bathroom to my things out of my locker and he is standing next to me "hey ...." I say it is still a tad weird to be near him after that. "We should go to class" I'm just thinking is he dumb of course we have to go to class.

Then just to get this stupid thing off my chest. "Yes." I find myself saying. "I do feel like I have known you forever. It's a weird feeling. But you shouldn't get involved with me. I have done things... bad things." He looks at me as if he was studying me. Then he steps forward and says " I don't care." "You should." Then for the second time today I rushed off without giving him a time to reply as I rush to my next class.

He really should listen. I have done something that even Lyla and Jackson don't know about. But nothing can change what I had done. I don't even know why I did it what good did it do me in the end?

Thankfully school is now over . Wait scratch that my parents are probably couscous right now. Now I know that it seems weird for me to live with my parents and jut get here in tenth. Well it probably has something to do with the fact that my parents decided that I would be best to switch schools in the beginning of my high school year. Because it was 'to far' I took it in as to safe. But I doesn't really matter I was a friendless freak there anyways.

As I walk to the parking lot I expected to see my two friends but don't . The car wasn't even here. Instead I see Tyler there talking to his friends. I look over the parking lot to see if I just looked over the car. At the same moment Tyler leaves his friends and walks towards me. I feel my cheaks blush not even knowing why.

" Lyla told me to take you home." Wait what, Lyla told a complete stranger to drive me home? Why doesn't that creep me out to the max like it should? And what possessed me to say " yes"? All questions that may never be answered... So we were driving and I told him my address. As we pulled up he looked a little hesitant guess he heard about this town's rep. I got out the car and through quick thanks over my shoulder. He grabbed my arm and said "if you need anything or if anything happens to you call me." Only if he knew... He looked dead serious. "Devonna promise me." He stated in the most demanding tone. "I promise." I stated he visibly relaxed and gave me his number on a crumbled piece of paper.

When I got in my house I immediately heard my Dad's yelling as I saw Tyler's retreating car. "WHO WAS THAT YOU WORTHLESS BRAT?!" I heard my dad spit out each word like venom. "AND WHY ISNT DINNER READY ?!" My mother all so kindly pointed out. Only fueling my Dads anger. He slapped me square across my face. With more force than normal. When I was down they still yelled. And beat me. As my Dad aimed to hit me again his arm froze. Then out of nowhere he was thrown across the room into the wall.

"YOU LITTLE FREAK LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE NOW !" As she went to go another round of kicking me she flew across the room as well. I guess my gifts aren't gone after all. My sight was getting spotted I'm sure this triggered it. This is the end as I slip in to darkness . the last thing I remember was Tyler looking over me with completely deep gold eyes filled with tears. Also men and women in all black rushing into my house. "Tyler is constently telling my that i cant give up. And him whispering for me that I will make it. The thing Is I'm completely ready to give up.
