(y/n) didn't want to marry to a man she never knew. She only had one conversation with him, she didn't want him. (y/n) respected him indeed, however she didn't want him. Reiji Akaba, the prince from the West who needed a wife. (y/n) needed to get to know for longer. She doesn't want to rush into marriage. It also seemed like Reiji had someone else on his mind anyways. Though he had to listen to father still. (y/n) didn't want to listen to anyone. For once, she had to be reckless. Never in her life she got to act like this. Honestly, she needed to feel the adrenaline.

So, she ran away the day before her wedding. When the kingdom realized their precious princess was gone, a search party scavenged the North. )y/n) fled deep into the woods, her plan was to cross the border through the mountains. She needed to get away from that life, maybe her bother can marry someone from the West Kingdom. (y/n) feet became too tired to continue walking. She collapsed to her knees then her chest. She laid down with exhaustion written all over her face.

(y/n) eyes began to close, but before she fully fainted. A red dragon, with a blue orb on it's head appeared. It looked at her with confusion and curiosity. (y/n) fell into a deep sleep, she had little ronni reaction to the dragon.

When (y/n) woke up, she slightly sat up. She was in a dim cave, there were such deep carvings into the wall. (y/n) touched it slightly and then looked around. She saw the entrance/exit to the cave. (y/n) brushed some hair out of her face. How did she get here? Her memory was a tad fuzzy but she remembered a dragon. Though that couldn't be right. The last dragon was slain by King Akaba Leo himself. So, was that a dream? But still, how the Hell did she get up here?

Then, a huge dragon she saw before entered. (y/n) froze with fear, she couldn't believe her eyes. She didn't know whether to scream or just accept death. Maybe she would fight back, however this is a dragon. What if it was going to eat (y/n). The princess began to shriek. The dragon almost submitted, though a light appeared. The dragon became a human. His face expressed concern and such. (y/n)'a screaming almost got louder.

The male ran over and tried to clam her down as he spoke, "Hey, hey, hey, hey! What's wrong? Why are you screaming?"

"You, you, you, y-you!" She was honestly speechless.

(y/n) continued to shake as he spoke, "You're safe, don't worry! I will protect you!"

"So you're not going to eat me?!" (y/n) shouted.

The male went quiet, then he just started to laugh, "Oh god! I never heard that one before! No, no, no! I won't eat you! I'm a dragon shifter! I don't eat humans!"

(y/n) sighed, "How is that... funny?"

He chuckled, "I save plenty of humans, but you're the funniest I know! Ahahaha!"

(y/n) didn't speak, she didn't know what to say.

"I'm Yuya Sakaki, what's your name?" He asked.

"I'm, (y/n) (l/n)..." She almost mumbled.

"Wait you're the Princess of the North Kingdom?!" Yuya looked excited.

(y/n) nodded then Yuya spoke, "Wow I never saved a princess before! I guess you were a damsel in distress!"

"Oh you!" (y/n) spoke as she hit his shoulder.

Yuya laughed, "Wait! You must be hungry!"

He walked over to a bag and grabbed assorted fruits. He walked backs and gave her the fruits.

"Thank you!" She smiled.

Yuya nodded and began to eat an apple. This wasn't so bad after all.
