Chapter 2. What happened to me

I got tossed around the foster system for about 1 and a half years till I got put into foster care with a family called the Bronx.

I had been there for about a year. With them and their daughter her name was Kate.

I was 14 and she was 15, we got along she was understanding but she didn't completely like me but we understood each other and each others past she had a tough up bringing too. She slept with boys who were 16 and 17 which I would never think of!

2 months later

I got my first letter from dad, I hadn't spoke to dad for 3 years.

The letter wrote

" Ellie baby it's daddy I'm sorry for all this, I didn't mean to do this to you or mommy I was going through stuff which you wouldn't understand it's not an excuse I know! I miss you and mummy so much I regret everything I'm glad I'm being punished I hope I see you one day to talk, you always know where to find me...your not unwanted I was just confused baby girl xx" after I read it I felt angry and sorta glad he felt sorry for what he did even though it was too late but at least he learnt. Even if it is too late
