Taelynn's POV

I sit in the window booth at Angela's Cafe, sipping a mango smoothie with one hand, my other hand covered by Mason's. He smiles at me and I return the favor, we're both happy. Mason and I have been dating four months and we are taking it slow, not wanting to rush things and mess it up. I really like spending time with him and feel that it's mutual.

"So," Mason starts. "You're 15 today. How does it feel?"

"I don't know honestly. I guess I'm happy but a little sad at how fast time is going by," Mason gives me a reassuring smile making me feel just that much better. "My party is next week. You know, just so you don't forget, " I wink. He laughs.

Mason turned fifteen a month ago and threw a huge party, inviting at least eighty people. His house was too small to occupy so many so it was held at the park. I had a blast. We both agreed that out favourite part was when we went down the slide together and once we got to the bottom we were ambushed with like, twenty super strength water guns. I look back at those memories and I begin to feel a little sad at how fast they went by.

"What are you doing at your party? I mean, I know it's in the forest, but what's going to happen?" Mason asks, he looks a little confused about what could possibly happen at the park?

"You'll just have to wait and see," I tease.

Mason starts to go on about something that happened on Xbox last night but I'm not paying attention. I sense him before I see him. I look over a tall guy around my age, he has short blond hair and beautiful blue eyes. But most importantly, this werewolf is not in my pack.

We stare at each other for several seconds making me feel uncomfortable. I think that it's best for both of us if I just leave, besides, I need to tell my Father about this ASAP. "Mason," I cut him off mid-sentence, " "I've actually really gotta go." He looks surprised, "I had fun and I'll see you tomorrow okay?" He nods slowly and I plant a kiss on his cheek. "I'll pay next time. Bye."

The door is across the cafe and the other werewolf is sitting right next to it. Something about him is intimidating me. Damn. Then I remember the door that leads to the back alley. I'll get home even faster plus I'll never have to pass this creepy wolf. The perfect solution.

I wave goodbye to Mason and make my way to the back door.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The alley is cold and dark even though it's sunny today. It's not an extremely long alley and there's a four way intersection where the buildings come close but never meet.

Just as I get to the intersection the alley feels warm and cozy and I sense another werewolf. Only this makes me relax and feel. Right? Suddenly I'm pushed into the brick wall with enough force that it hurts, but not so much that the pain lasts for more than a couple seconds. I'm held against the wall by another guy my age.

It's not the creepy guy from the cafe, this guy is different. He has soft light brown eyes and light brown hair that's short but not really short. He isn't much taller than me, about two inches. Oh yeah, he's also a werewolf. Once again, not in my pack.

I notice he's eyeing my necklace, oh my god. I look at his necklace and realize they could probably fit perfectly together to make a full moon. He takes hold of my necklace and tries to connect it with his, fumbling a bit. His hands are shaking, but now that I think about it, probably so are mine. This is a crazy moment.

I gasp when I see the two necklaces.
