Chapter 9- Dangerous Substances

"What the hell is this?" My father roars as he brings his fist down on the wood table. I flinch as his fist connects, the wood cracks under his strength and the table splits apart. This causes my computer to tumble to the ground, if werewolf strength can split a table in half than my werewolf speed can catch my precious laptop. Seconds before it connects with the tile floor it falls into my outstretched hand sending  a wave of relief through me.

I just finished showing my father, mother, the Beta, Beta female, and the third in command along with his wife the footage of me being injected with the unknown substance by the hooded figure. Everybody is freaking out and nobody has even looked twice at the table. I'm suddenly grabbed by the arm and dragged out of the room, I don't protest as my mother brings me to the pack doctor. I'm next instructed to sit on the bed and wait. Less than two minutes later the head doctor comes and asks a bunch of questions. The next three hours or so go by in a blur. Next things I know I'm sitting beside my mother across from the doctor.

"The results should be here by tomorrow." The doctor informs us, I nod in understanding.

"What if she doesn't have that long?" My mother looks to almost be in tears.

"I'm sorry Luna, this is the best we can do."

After some other exchanged information I am able to leave, I go back to my dorm to rest. Positioned outside my door are two guards, I haven't been guarded like this since I was ten. It sucks. As soon I sit on the couch I want to take a nap, I'm suddenly drained of energy. But first, I decide to call Ky. "Come to my dorm, alone, quick," is all I say as soon as he picks up, quickly ending the call before he can say anything. In less than five minutes he's here.

"Tae!" I'm engulfed in a hug as soon as I answer the door. I can tell it's Ky, I hug back, snuggling into his warm touch. I'm disappointed when he pulls away, closing the door behind him. "What's going on?" I lead him into the kitchen, grabbing two Dr.Peppers before sitting on one of the three stools against the island.

I open my laptop, which was returned by mom earlier, and open it up to the video. I click play and wait quietly as Ky watches. His reaction changes throughout. First he looks confused, probably as to why I am showing him this. Then he looks surprised. finally he looks mad, I'm talking full out rage. Judging by the way he literally threw the chair across the room into the window, which smashed into hundreds of pieces. The guards barged into the room and all they saw was a freaking out Ky. As the guards rush over to take Ky away he starts going even more crazy. Everything going on made it hard to breath, every time I tried to inhale oxygen it would cut off or hurt. On top of that there were so many noises I placed my hands over my ears and backed into a corner. I am so upset as I sink to the floor, my hands over my ears, and curl myself into a little ball. It doesn't take long for me to fall unconscious.

Ky's POV

All is see is red. All I feel is rage. All I want to do is find the hooded figure and kill him. Then bring him back to life, then kill him again. Over and over and over again until he's screaming for me to end his life for once and for all. It isn't until it gets hard to breathe that I snap out of it. Once my breathing returns to normal and I can see properly I take a look around. The room is trashed, the counter has a crack straight through it. I recognize the two guards on the floor, panic surges through me. I check for pulses, there is none. Did I do this?

I almost don't see Taelynn in the corner. Almost. "Taelynn!" I scream at the top of my lungs, my voice cracking at the end. I cry at her tiny body crowded into the corner. It doesn't take a genius to see she's unconscious. "Help!" I scream. Running over to her. I blink through the tears and pick her up bridal style. Running down the halls for the doctor I scream, "help," repeatedly.

I collapse to the ground in a wave of tears and loss of energy. Making sure that Taelynn doesn't hit the floor. Before too long I hear other wolves rushing towards me. Suddenly Taelynn is taken from my arms and I feel cold. "Tae!" I scream for her. I struggle against the hands pushing me back, keeping me away from her while she needs me. I don't feel the prick, but it must have been a needle because soon enough everything fades away.
