Homecoming - Peter Parker

The past three weeks were stressing. You were tense and irritated easily. Homecoming was in one week. And even if you didn't want to go, it still left you a bit heartbroken that no one, especially not this special boy in your life, had asked you out. The other half of you, was glad. You could stay at home watch some movies or read a book. You didn't have to be surrounded by people who were not even the slightest like you were and you didn't have to hear the music that would gonna be played there, it was totally not your taste. Everytime a boy walked up to you you felt nervous. And then after they asked you something about a class you had together you scolded yourself for actually believing someone would ask you out. And then the day came where Jake, a boy you had English with, came up to you as you were speaking with one of your best friends, Peter.

''Hey, umm... can I speak to you a moment?'' He asked, smiling kindly. With your thoughts a different place, you smiled at him and said. ''Sure.'' Now what you didn't know was that behind your back Peter was clenching his jaws and fists as tight as possible, anger radiating from him like he was radioactive. He was jealous, and oh boy, not just a bit. ''I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go to Homecoming with me?" He sounded really sweet and his smile was out of a toothpaste advertisement, and before you could think about the offer you just said. ''I'd love to." You smiled, although your thoughts were racing. WHAT THE FUCK DID JUST HAPPEN. ''If this isn't a joke or something.'' You smiled awkwardly, not sure how much longer you could hold all the feelings in. ''It isn't, I wouldn't dare making jokes like this to a girl as beautiful as you.'' Again, he smiled. You wondered if his face hurt from all this smiling. You blushed. He bent down to give you a kiss on the cheek. Now that was unexpected. And you didn't like it but you just smiled through it. ''Well, I have to go now, but we'll talk later, yeah?'' He asked. ''Yeah.'' Was all you could breathe out. He turned around and walked away. You blinked rapidly. You turned around, expecting to see Peter waiting. But he wasn't there. You groaned frustrated and went to the class you had next. Science. Together with Peter as your partner. You tried to calm your nerves. Peter doesn't normally just go away. So he must be very angry or something different is up with him. You sighed and made your way to your table. Peter sat there already, looking somewhat irritated, and the lesson ended with him giving you one-word-answers and ruining your day more and more. As the lesson ended he walked away quickly. And you followed him, wanting to know why he was treating you like shit. You grabbed his sleeve, so he had to stop and turn around. ''Peter! Why the FUCK are you treating me like this? Have I done anything?" You asked, clearly irritated and hurt. ''I just CAN'T believe that you're going to homecoming with this douche.'' His answer was rather annoyed and cold. You were shocked. ''He was the only one who asked me! If you would've wanted me to go with another person, why didn't YOU just ask me?'' He rolled his eyes and walked away. You scoffed and turned around. You were hurt. You were in love with Peter and it was hard to see that he apparently cared so little for you.

The next few days were the living hell. Peter ignored you and your heart broke into a thousand pieces. You just COULDN'T live without him, especially not when he acted like he hated you. Maybe he did, you didn't know. And when the day came, where you were supposed to go to homecoming with Jack you weren't sure if you were going. One half wanted to show Peter that you could be happy without him (which was a big lie) the other side just wanted to be left alone, shoveling ice cream into your mouth and bingewatching netflix. One hour before homecoming you called Jack. ''Hey Jack...look I'm sorry but I just... don't feel good. I'd rather stay at home. Really sorry that I just call now..'' Silence. ''Jack?'' you asked. ''It's okay I guess... Maybe we could go for a walk instead?'' You were about to decline the offer when he spoke up again. ''Please?'' Ugh, you were too kind to just say 'Nope sorry not gonna happen'. So instead you said: ''yeah of course. I'm ready in 30 minutes.'' You sighed. ''Nice, I'll be by your door.''

The walk went by pretty fast and well. That was until you reached a dark abandonded park. Jack suddenly started pushing you against a tree, kissing you passionate and pushing up your clothes. He had his hands in very inappropriate places and you kept trying to push him away, yelling at him. But he always came a step closer again, starting again. ''JACK STOP!'' You screamed and pushed him once more, tears welling up in your eyes and fear in every cell. Suddenly a string of web shot down and covered Jack's face. You heard a muffled ''What the fuck'' and saw him tearing at the web to go down. Quick you pulled all your clothes to the right places again and ran. Tears falling down your face and clouding your vision. You ran and ran, sometimes stumbling, but still continueing. You didn't stop until you were at home. You couldn't stand facing anyone so you just climbed up the wall to the roof and sat down there crying. That wasn't how you planned on spending your day. Suddenly you heard a thump and you looked up. Spiderman. He stood like 2 feet away from you. ''Are you okay?" His voice was changed into some horrible computer kind of voice. You gave him one of your significant, annoyed ''really?'' looks. ''Yeah, okay, sorry, my bad.'' He scratched his neck awkwardly, which reminded you a lot of Peter and you felt tears welling up in your eyes again. ''Oh? What's the matter now?" He clearly was confused as hell. You didn't know what overcame you, but you shared everything with him. Even though he's a stranger. It was probably your hormones and state of mind after this whole thing you've been through. ''Okay, first of all-'' you sobbed ''the person I love didn't ask me to homecoming and proceeded to ignore me the following days.'' You sobbed again. ''Just because I said yes to another guy? I actually don't know why. A..And then the guy I went for a walk with, who was originally supposed to be my homecoming date tries to fucking-'' you sobbed ''rape me.'' You sniffled. ''I didn't even want to go to homecoming, I couldn't stand seeing my crush there being all happy and everything.'' You said, wiping away the tears. ''I hate parties.'' you mumbled. ''Wow.. I'm... I had no idea! I'm so sorry.'' The computer-voice of spiderman said. ''yeah... It's okay I guess, gotta prepare for a lot of pain yet to come.'' you stood up. ''It was nice meeting you. I will go to sleep now. And if you go to my school - you're obviously really young - don't expect me to come tomorrow.'' You turned around and climbed down the ladders. You heard a whoosh, signalling that Spiderman was gone. Quietly you made your way into your room, changing into different clothes lazily and covered yourself in a lot of covers and just warm comforting soft stuff. You cried yourself to sleep that night. You were woken up by your mother coming into your room the next morning. ''Darling, you're going to be late for school!'' You looked up. ''I don't feel very well.'' You started to tear up again at the mere thought of what happened last night. You tried to push the tears back, but your mother saw that something was wrong with you. She always saw. Just as she wanted to ask what happened the doorbell rang. She turned away, then looked at you with a glare that said 'we're not finished yet' and then went to open the door. A few seconds later she appeared again. A brown haired young boy by her side. Peter. ''I'm gonna give you a minute.'' Your mother dissapeared. Peter closed the door and went straight to you and pulled you up into a hug. Both stayed silent, hugging each other with so many unspoken words, emotions. He pulled away after a few minutes, only to look into your eyes and say: ''I'm sorry. For everything.''
