Chapter 18: Threathened

Sophia’s POV

“hi sweetie” khalil just arrived in my condo after a long day of work “how are you?”

“I’m good, kaso… medyo tiring kasi it’s Monday sobrang busy tapos wala si Dj at Julia”

“ahh yeah, ngayon nga lang pala yung balik nila from La Union noh, si Kathryn din eh, nandon pa… kaya lahat ng meeting nya kanina, sa amin napunta”

“si Kath? I thought she didn’t come to La Union”

“nako, hindi nakatiis… sumunod sa La Union kahapon”

“Threatened?” natatawang sabi ni Khalil

I looked at him while I’m dicing the tomatoes “dapat ba?”

“well, hindi naman… alam ko namang mahal na mahal sya ni Dj, pero nako! Ang sarap kasi mag luto ni Julia, the best!”

I put down the knife and put my arms together “ganon?”

He hugged me “pero mas gusto ko pa din yung luto mo” he kissed my nose…

Hmpf! I have to tell this to Kathryn!

Kath’s POV

“hi, girls!” I greeted them upon entering the board room, we’re having a lunch meeting here since I was away yesterday…

“so, how’s the trip?” Julia (m) asked

“hmm… it’s okay…. the place was very nice, you guys should visit the resort!”

“how are you and Dj?” Miles asked

I looked at her “okay naman… bakit?”

“so, walang something sila ni pretty Julia?” Bianca on skype, asked

“hah? Wala… I trust my husband”

“girls, gusto nyong mag cooking lesson tayo?” Sophia asked at agad kaming napatingin lahat sa kanya

“no!” Miles disagreed, she hates cooking… she hates the kitchen, never mo syang mapapag luto kahit itlog pa yan!

“sure!” Julia, on the other hand wants it, she’s good at cooking and she wants to learn more…

“ano naman ang naisipan mo, Sophy, at bigla mong naisip mag aral mag luto?” I asked

“hmm wala lang, naisip ko lang”

“oh, hell no” Miles, nako, may na-feel na naman na kakaiba to

“what?” Sophia

“what’s the matter? Yung totoo… bakit mo gustong mag culinary lessons?”

Sophia sighed, “okay, fine… sasabihin ko an yung totoo, well, I talked to my boyfriend last night, and nabanggit nya sa akin na magaling daw mag luto si pretty Julia”

“so?” Julia (m) “wait nga, why are we calling her pretty Julia?”

“uhhh kasi, she’s pretty? And nakakalito kayong dalawa?” Miles

“so you mean I’m not pretty?” Julia (m) rolled her eyes

“you’re the Hot Julia!” binola ko na lang sya just to stop the issue

“wait, let’s go back to the cooking thingy… so, paano naman nila nalaman na magaling mag luto si pretty girl?” Miles

“well, sabi ni khalil, nag dadala daw sya ng food for lunch sa work and she’s sharing it with everyone”

“Taray! May catering services si ganda!” Bianca

“I’m serious… Kath, what do you think?” Sophy asked

“well, honestly, Kath, I think you really need to learn… I know you’re trying but may asawa ka na, mag hahanap yan ng iba’t ibang putahe” Julia

“remember, the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach” Bianca

“yeah, pero girls, out ako dyan hah…” Miles

“So, what do you think?” Julia asked

I looked at them… trying to think of what to do… what?! Culinary lessons? My god… pwede bang makuntento na lang sya sa kung anong kaya kong iluto?

“I’ll think about it”

After having a lunch meeting with them I spent my whole afternoon looking for a culinary school… well, I’m not decided yet to take the course kasi I have a lot of things to consider, I’m a busy woman, I have a job, I have a husband, saan ko naman isisingit yon? Can I have at least 48 hours in one day?

“lunch time!” The next day, I visit my husband at his office to have lunch with him…

“hun!” he kissed me “what a sweet surprise! Let’s go have lunch out?”

“hmm no, I actually want to have lunch here… besides, I also miss our friends”

“are you sure?”

“yeah, mag pa-deliver na lang tayo”

“ay, kath, no need. I think, Julia (b) have something for everyone… masarap mag luto yon! tara!”

Then he grabbed my hands to the pantry…

So, I heard it straight from my husband’s mouth… masarap nga sya mag luto…
