This is sad but it gets happy I promise.

The other team Voltron members had been completely ignoring Lance for a month. Whenever Lance would walk into a room where the others were, their previous conversation would stop completely as they just hid it back with a simple "we were discussing the next mission".

And, as much as he denied it, this made Lance sad. Lance was already depressed and homesick, but then adding on everybody else ignoring him? He couldn't take it anymore. He felt so alone.

Even his boyfriend was ignoring him. He couldn't get anything but a mere greeting and a kiss out of Keith for the past month. Was Keith getting tired of him? Did Keith not love him anymore? Has he even loved Lance in the first place? Lance couldn't take it anymore. If people didn't want him there, then he would leave.

Lance slowly packed his belongings into a duffel-like bag. Lance looked at the picture of him and Keith on his bedside table. Lance smiled softly before placing it into his bag next to his jacket. Lance walked out of the room before sneaking off to the armory room.

Lance quickly changed into his paladin armor and went to the escape pod holding area. They would find another blue paladin. Lance was just a placeholder for the real blue paladin. He wasn't the teams sharpshooter, he was just a placeholder for the real sharpshooter of Voltron.

Lance climbed into the escape pod, closing the hatch. Lance took off and flew out into the open stars. Lance didn't know how fast he was going, but he knew he was far from the castle by now. Lance checked the Earth calendar he had in his bag and saw that it was his birthday.

"Whoopee." A sarcastic breath escaped the teenage boy. Lance felt a tear slide down his cheek before he landed the pod on an abandoned planet.

Shiro,Keith,Pidge,Hunk,Allura, and Coran all walked down the hall towards the blue paladins room. They had been planning his special day for a month now. Keith was beyond excited to celebrate his boyfriends eighteenth birthday.

Hunk held a cake in his hands as the others held presents for Lance in their arms. Keith opened the door to Lances room swiftly as they all shouted.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LANCE!" Everyone fell silent as they all had big smiles plastered on their faces. Keith walked over to the bed and jumped onto the lump in the blankets. Keith pulled the covers back, only to see pillows and blankets in the place of where his body would be.

"He isn't here?" Pidge questioned as she set the presents on Lances desk. Hunk set the cake down as well, scratching his chin in wonder.

"Oh look, a note!" Coran picked a small piece of paper on the bedside table. Everyone gathered around Coran as they each read the note.

By the time you all read this, I will have left already. I've noticed that you have all been ignoring me for the past month. But I get it now.
