He had been seeming really off lately toward her. He had been pushing her away and she couldn’t figure out why or the reason behind why he had been doing so.

Every time she had tried to speak to him about it, Juice always seemed to shove her away or changed the subject. But regardless of the problem, Y/N needed to know what was going on with Juice.

It was late night and he had returned to the Club alone. She had been there waiting for him as he returned the truck back to the TM and parked it in its spot. When he climbed out of the driver seat he stopped int eh middle of the parking lot and looked at her.

She looked at him, her eyes full of worry. It was extremely late at night and she had been sitting outside in the cold for what must have been at least three hours now.

He had a black hoody on and placed his hands in the pockets as he walked over toward his bike. That’s when she got up from her spot on the picnic table and made her way to him, stopping him before he could reach his bike.

“Juice? What’s going?"

She asked as she stopped him in his tracks. He shook his head and refused to look at her.

“It’s nothing, Y/N. You should go home.”

He said as he tried to push past her, but she refused to let him go with an answer like that. She grabbed hold of his arm and stopped him, puling on his hoody slightly and gasping when she noticed his bruised neck.

He knew she seen it by her reaction and quickly tugged his arm away from her. He looked at her with a cross between angry and sad. She just looked at him in the eyes and shook her head.

“Juice… what did you do?”

She felt her bottom lip starting to quiver. Had he really tried to do what she believed him to try? He shook his head and scoffed as he pulled his bottom lip between his teeth.

“I told you to go home. Why don’t you ever listen to me?”

“Because I’m your friend. And as a friend, I’m going to be there for you, no matter how stubborn you are toward me! You shouldn’t be fighting whatever this is on your own!"

Juice felt his bottom lip quiver as tears rolled down his cheeks. He looked away from her but felt her hand grab his.

“I won’t let go. Tell me. Tell me what’s wrong?”

Juice just looked at her. He gave her the saddest smile she had ever seen him give her. Finally, he nodded and broke down crying right there in the middle of the dark parking lot of the TM. She wrapped her arms around his body and allowed him to cry on her.

She was going to be his lifeline for tonight. She wasn’t going to let him go.
