Chapter 30

Rachels POV -- about a week later

Ive had no luck getting Ryland and Kelsie back together. Rylands been ignoring me ever since the day of the argument, in the hallway. And Kelsie really hasnt been keeping in touch either. I feel really bad that I ruined their relationship, but they both dont need to be ignoring me like this. Although if I were them I would probably be doing the same thing. On the other hand, me and Ty havnt been talking either. I see him in the halls and at home every once in a while and well say hi, but I can tell hes trying to keep his distance too. Im pretty sure if it wasnt for my brothers I wouldnt be seeing him at all.

I grabbed my tray for lunch and looked around the room, to find an empty table to sit at. Ive been sitting alone for the past week, since Ryland and Ty dont want me sitting with them, and Im sure Kelsie doesnt either, and I wasnt the very happiest with Alison. Once I saw that there wasnt any empty tables I headed over to where Jakob was sitting, by himself. After we said 'hey' I looked around the room and saw a familiar girl sitting at Ryland and Tys table. Amber. I wonder what shes doing there. Hopefully Ty hasnt moved on that quickly, I thought. Then I contined eating in silence.

Once I was done eating and the bell had rung I headed towards my biology and ironically ended up walking behind Ryland and Amber. They were walking kind of close and whispering things to eachother, but I just ignored them, because of the fact that I wasnt really fond of Amber. Right before I turned into the since room I saw, out of the corner of my eye, Ry put his arm around Amber. I turned around to face the direction they were walking. Great. Just great. Now hows this going to work out with Kelsie.

after school

I walked through the front doors of the house, still sore from track practice that afternoon. It was the first practice and I wasnt used to running that much yet. I saw Ross playing with Charlotte on the floor so I put my bag down and went to go sit on the couch. "Aw," I said with a smile once my brother gave Char a kiss on top of her head.

"I know, shes cute isnt she," Ross said looking over at me then back at Char.

"Yeah...She really has your eyes."

"I know," he said smiling. "Thats what everyones been saying. Hey can you hand me that bowl of cherios out of her diper bag over there," Ross said pointing to where Charlottes diperbag was leaning against the couch.

I dug throught he bag until I found the cherios and then handed the bowl to him. "Hey isnt it Ashleys night to be watching here?"

"Yeah. But Riker and Ashley went out for the night, and they asked if I could watch her. And of course I said yes because why would I want to give up spending a night with this cutie," Ross answered, his voice getting high towards the end.

Just then Ryland walked through the door and Ross and I both looked over at him. "Sup Ry," Ross said turning his attention back towards Charlotte.

"Hey," Ryland answered still standing next to the door.

"Hey Ryland," I said with a smile. All I got back was a glare before he turned to go back outside. I hesitated before I got up to follow him. "Ry," I said but he just ignored me and kept walking. "Ryland," he still kept walking. "Ryland!" I yelled walking a little faster, and so did he. "Ryland Lynch you listen to me right now!" I yelled for the last time and he turned around to face me.

"Rachel. I really dont want to listen to you--"

"Ryland just stop!" I cut him off. "Im tired of you ignoring me and the glares. I didnt mean to do what I did. Alison just told me and I didnt want you to get hurt..." I paused and sighed. "And stop playing games with Amber because Kelsie still has feelings for you."

"Im not playing games with Amber. Its a serious relationship."

"You moved on that fast?! You cant just do that! Ok yeah I know I thought that Kelsie was using you but I know for sure that Amber is. The only reason why shes liked you all these years is because of the band and--"

"Ambers a really nice girl, Rachel, so will you just knock it off?! Im tired of you saying 'oh shes cheating on you' 'oh shes just using you because of R5' or 'yeah shes just dating you so she can get closer to Ross or Riker or Rocky or whoever'. Ok. Im tired off it! Yes, there are some girls who would do that, but not Amber."

"Well it wasnt Kelsie either--"

"Will you just shut up about Kelsie. We're done. We're not a 'thing' anymore, and we wont ever be again."

I was about ready to say something but then decided against it. Ryland just rolled his eyes and walked away. Crap. Im even further away from when I started. Just then Ty came out of his house and headed towards mine, probably to hang out with Rocky and Ellington. "Ty Im sorry. I didnt mean for any of this to happen. Its just that Alison said that--"

"Ok. Just stop. Appologizing doesnt mean you start blaming anything that you did on someone else. Especially not my sister. I know Alison wouldnt do anything like that so no. Ok? I just need a break for right now," he said. "Especially right after I saw you sitting with Jake today."

I walked over to the front porch steps and sat down. Good. Maybe me and Ty would one day start dating again. I mean he said he just needs a break so that means were not done forever right? Ryland and Kelsie on the other hand...Thats going to be a big mess to clean up.

Im sorry its been taking so long for these last  few updates. Im having really bad writers block and I think Im going to be ending the story soon so Im trying to figure out a good way to end it. Thanks for reading -Anna :)
