"Yes I'm all settled in momma... Yea Bribri and em helped me with the move." I said into the FaceTime call with my mom. She was watching me unpack my clothes in my new bedroom.

"You ok baby?" She asked me. I put a fake smile on my face as usual. You know I've been doing that a lot lately, faking things in my life just to show others that I'm ok even though I'm really not. "Yes ma'am I am." I tried to reassure her, but she was too smart to fall for the fake smile. "Have you talked to him since the move." I shook my head no as she continued to talk "You know he's been calling me and your daddy like crazy right? Boy been crying and going crazy, what you do to him?" She asked. I chuckled and said "Nothing momma, not a damn thing. Plus I already knew he'd call y'all since he's been calling my girls and having his boys express just how sorry he is. He's sorry alright, a sorry excuse as a man." I felt myself getting angry again and I knew I'd have to calm myself down.

"How long has it been?"

"Three months"

"So you do care?" She smirked and I shook my head no. "No I just-"

"You just nothing because anyone who knows the exact amount they've been away from someone has took the time out to count and baby you've been counting." She said. It was silent because I refused to admit I cared about that boy. Luckily for me Breanna called on the other line. "Momma I love you but I have to go Bri is calling." I told her, she returned the love as I clicked over to the other FaceTime call.

"Hey babe" I said smiling into the phone. "Hey my love! So I know you hate last minute things but, we all wanted to go to the Poconos tomorrow. We got a hotel at Kalahari resorts."

"I know I'm already packed for it." I said chuckling at her facial expression. "Why so shocked ?" I asked "Who told you?" She asked.

"Jada and Kim duh! They knew your ass would do some last minute shit so they told me a week ago. I have all my stuff and everything is packed for tomorrow. The only thing you guys have yet to tell me is who exactly is the "we" that is coming" I said giving her that look, you know the look that your momma give you when she know you about to lie.

"How do you think the trip was paid for? Of course Chris and them paid for it." She said with ease. "Is August going to be there?" I asked, she became quiet and said "To be honest I'm not sure, I know Chris asked him but he never told me if he was truly coming or not."

"Honestly?"

"Honestly truly." She said back to me which let me know she was telling the truth. I continued to talk with her until I eventually became tired. Between finishing packing and making sure my plan ticket was in my bag that I was taking, I was tired. I laid in my bed thinking about everything, thinking about what my momma said about me still caring, about him calling them crying, about him maybe showing up tomorrow. I wondered how I would act would I become out of character, Be cordial or finally make room to forgive him? I guess that'll all be answered tomorrow right?
