"What?! You are moving out? Why?" The twins questioned in unison.
I just get back from the coffee shop and the moment I unlock the door I told them immediately my plan.
I felt guilty after telling them the news. "I will visit every day. Promise. You would not even feel I moved out." I joked.
"Did we do something wrong? Is it because I snore loudly?" Deena asked.
I laughed. "Of course not. I feel like this place is too small for the three of us."
Dani answers with a sigh. "We'll, you got a point there. If you're moving out might as well sell this place and me and Deena will find a new apartment. You will get your share once this gets sold."
"Do you know how expensive it is to rent an apartment on your own?" Deena started to mentally calculate my expenses. She playfully shoved me. "As if money is an issue to you. Remember your father offered to pay your share in this apartment."
"I'm not taking his money. Any of it." I said.
"You still don't talk to your him?" Dani inquired.
I shook my head. My father was a proud man. He was strict, disciplined, and of high principle. He was short-tempered and did some wrong in his life but he wasn't a bad man. He had just been washed with bad experiences and born more short-tempered than most. He wore his pride like a parapet. I didn't know whether it was to shield him or not let anyone in. Despite that, he always reached out to me but I'm the one who's always running away from him. Since my mother died I felt like our family died too.
"I will miss this apartment. So many memories we created here."
"Yeah." The twins say in unison.
"I love you two."
"Love you back lesbean." Dani offered a warm smile.
I smile and started to settle the things that I got from Lindsey's place.
"She didn't even put your things in a box?" Deena noticed.
"She did but there was an emergency on the way and we used it."
"We? You mean you and Lindsey?" Dani asked with furrowed eyebrows.
"No not her. Do you think I will spend my precious time catching things up with her?"
"Knowing you, yes."
"Shut up," I said.
"Then who?"
"Alexis. Her son's school is just a few blocks away from Lindsey's place. I saw her struggling with her son's project so I offered to help them."
"So you casually went straight to her car and offered help?" Dani stared at me suspiciously.
"Yeah, it's not a bad thing to offer help to someone in need," I replied.
"Really huh? Or maybe because you saw a gorgeous woman that's why you immediately offered some help. Because why you didn't help us carry our groceries yesterday?" Dani stood in front of me her hand on her hip.
