I'm waken up by the familiar smell of fresh bacon and toast. It smells amazing due to the fact that I'm starving. I roll over to see Annie sprawled out over the bed and almost falling off. I laugh at her and throw a pillow in her face. Which seems to do the trick. "Wake up sleepy." I say, hopping out of her king bed and walk out the door to the kitchen. I can smell coffee being made and I'm immediately in love with this house even more than I was before.
"A cup of coffee Miss Madelyn?" Cordelia asks.
"Yes please." She hands me a cup of coffee and I thank her. I walk to the kitchen window that happens to go all the way down to the floor and I see out to the backyard to the pool, and the tennis court in the near distance. In the summer, the whole property is pretty much covered in flowers, but since it's winter, there's snow covering them. There's a pathway coming from the back doors to the large fountain in the middle of the yard, of an old Greek statue, that is still spritsing out water from it's mouth.
"Well look who's drinking coffee without me." Annie says while sitting down next to me at the small table.
"Well goodmorning to you too," I say to her while taking a drink of my coffee. "What are we doing today?" I ask her.
"Well, tomorrow I got us back stage passes and front row tickets for a concert, so today we can just shop for that if you want? I don't really care."
"Wait, a concert?" I've always loved British bands. If I go to a concert here in England, I will die a content human being.
"Yeah to umm... One Direction? Do you know them?" She asks.
"Oh my god. Seriously?" I've never really been into One Direction, but I'm always in for concerts and back stage passes with front row tickets. Count me in.
"Yeah, well I guess every girl here in England is head over heals for the One Direction boys and I think it is plain obnoxious." She says and we both laugh. "If you watch the news, it's everywhere. Screaming, crying, and more screaming. I feel bad for them because they must embarrass themselves a lot." And that makes us both go into a fit of laughter. "Actually Mads, can I tell you something? I'll just tell you now so you don't get confused later."
Well okay?
"Okay, what?" I ask as she looks down into her cup of coffee.
"Well, I actually am really good friends with them." She says and looks up at me to see my expression.
I stare blankly at her, without saying anything. I am not sure what I'm supposed to say. I don't think I heard her right. "Wait, what?"
"I'm friends with the guys of One Direction!" She says as if it's the most obvious thing ever.
"Oh wow. Why would you keep that a secret? Do your parents know?" I ask.
"Yes my mum knows! She babysat Harry when we were kids. I haven't said anything to anyone about it because really? Have you seen how crazy those One Direcioners are? They are bloody insane. I'm not letting word get out. Hell no." She does have a point.
"I guess that makes sense. Well let's go get ready for shopping then!" I walk back to the bathroom to gather my things to get ready for the day ahead.
After an hour and a half, Jeffery takes Annie and I to the city and let's us walk around. We shop for a few hours and it's honestly exhausting. We end up having to make another coffee run before lunch to reboost our energy. When all of a sudden, I get this weird feeling in my stomach as I think of tomorrow night.
I'm going to meet One Direction.
