I placed my notebook onto my thigh after I crossed my legs. I pat my pockets, searching for a pen, when the business man sitting behind the desk hands me a decorated black and gold colored pen.
"Thank you, I'm sorry I wasn't prepared like I planned." I apologize as I take the pen from his hand slowly. His light blue eyes stood out from his black hair. I then ready the pen, it hovering just above the notebook.
"There's no need to apologize, as long as you have a pen now. You're free to ask away." He signals. I nod my head while nervously laughing, of course it wasn't very professional of me. I should be more considerant, this is a business meeting.
"What projects are you currently working on?" I ask the first question that had a label of "1." in front of it, written at the top of the notebook that I have brought along.
"Mulitple projects involving animals. I find a need of grace for the animals, I enjoy to care for them the best I can without even seeing them. Each animal is elegant in it's own way." He says, and I quickly write what he says, trying to keep up with his rant of animals.
"You seem to care for many things." I noted out loud. I quickly look back at the paper, feeling embarrassed.
"I don't. Honestly, the only thing I truly care for are animals. Humans, money, and objects no longer interest me." He clarifies.
"Sorry for assuming, it wasn't in my place to even say, I-" I get cut off by him standing up. I raise an eyebrow in confusion. He walks around his desk and leans on the front of it, him closer to the seat I'm seated in, of course placed in front of his desk.
"It's nothing to make such a big deal about, don't stress of it." I nod my head in response of what he says, then look at the next question.
"When did you begin working for this company?" I question, asking the second one on the list. I help the pen close to the paper, preparing for his response.
"When I was sixteen. My father is head of the company, he wishes for me to following in his footsteps and take over when he no longer can. All my life, I've been taught how to properly take care of a company, including taking care of myself." He answers the second question m. I nod my head as I listen to his response, writing as quickly as my hand can handle. "What is the next question?" He asks, but just as I'm about to respond, there was a knock at his office door. He sighs and glares at the door. "Come in." He demands at the who person knocked. A lady in blue suit and long blonde hair walked into the small room.
"The next appointment is starting in two minutes sir, I thought you would have ended by now." She says. Her voice was sweet and angelic. Jealousy ran through me, I wish I had such a beautifully sweet voice like this woman's.
"Cancel it." He says in a stern tone while glancing at me. I shake my head and stand quickly.
"N-no, it must be important. I can leave if you need." I handed out the pen to him. He seemed hurt, and he pushes my hand back towards me.
"I'd like you to stay." He said, staring into my emerald green eyes. I shake my head, my fawn hair that was tied into a ponytail slowly loosening itself.
"I wouldn't want to waste your time." I respond, he only seemed to get even more hurt, his expression changing.
"Sir, do I cancel the next appointment?" The blonde asks again. He looks me dead in the eyes, making my heart race at a fast pace.
"No. Please extend their time to the next five minutes. I would like this meeting to last longer than intended." He decides for me. I slowly sit back down, which caused the man to smirk. The blonde nods her head and exits the room, closing the door softly, barely making a sound. "What is the next question?"
I nervously flip the notebook back to the page it was on before, and hesitantly answer. "How old are you?" I realized that question may have been a bit too much right after I said it. It was too late, because I watched him slowly close his eyes, letting out a deep sigh.
"I'm twenty five." He responds, opening his eyes, just to be met with mine. I quickly look down at my notebook and write down his answer like the other questions.
"Why did you join the business..? I'm sorry, I should just get rid of this question, you've alre-"
"My father forced me to. I grew up with the influence because he made his dream mine. To own day control this company." He cuts me off to answer. I wrote what he said down anyways.
"Thank you." I couldn't hold back my thank. He nods his head as a 'you're welcome' responding to my thank.
"What is the next question, I want to be able to answer it before time runs out." He said right after nodding his head, getting impatient.
"Why di-"
"Mr. Fruson, the company is getting impatient." The blonde sweet lady return into the room, swinging open the door quickly. I stand, not wanting to be a burden. I reach my hand back out to him, pen in hand. He shakes his head.
"Keep it. I hope to see you return." He said as he walks around his desk once more, sitting in the comfortable looking chair. I nervously nod my head, smiling.
"Thank you." I thanked once more, holding the pen closely to my chest with my notebook.
I walk into the elevator calmly, then waiting patiently to be brought to the bottom floor. I squeal excitedly, without being able to contain it.
