Bella was feeling rather bouncy as she sat in the private plane with Ashara. She was hurriedly texting Liz, asking Liz to tell everyone she was sick. She was also texting Peter.

[BELLA]

hey

im super sick (were talking black plague here my guy)

wont be in school today (maybe not for the whole week)

alex says no visitors :'((((

[PETER]

aw babe

im not actually in the country right now lmao...

Bella shrieked shrilly, looking down at her phone. "Why isn't he in the country?"

"Is there a problem, Bella?" Ashara asked.

"Yeah, all good," Bella muttered. "Just... lying to my boyfriend."

Bella pursed her lips and began typing furiously.

[BELLA]

why aren't you in the country?

are you seeking political asylum or something?

peter?

????

babe what is happening?

why aren't you in the country?

Bella bit her lip and tried not to feel guilty about lying to Peter.

[PETER]

i got the stark internship. ik ik i didn't tell u, but in my defense i didn't tell may either!

and this guy that works for mr stark showed up at my apartment yesterday afternoon after i dropped you off and was like "time to go peter!"

[BELLA]

you don't have a passport tho

you don't even have a lisence!

***license

Bella sighed and placed her phone face down on the tray. With a sigh, she leaned against the headrest and closed her eyes. While she was ecstatic to be helping Nike and Captain freaking America... she hated that she had to lie to Peter and all of her friends. This wasn't what wanted when she decided to become Poltergeist.

A few hours later the plane was touching down in some field in the outskirts of Berlin.

"How far can you teleport, Bella?" Ashara asked.

"Theoretically, as far as I want," Bella shrugged. "But I've only teleported from one end of New York City to the other."

"How about this address? Seventy-eight miles."

Bella looked down at the page with furrowed eyebrows, memorizing the address before plugging the coordinates into her watch.

"Okay," Bella said, nodding. "Let's go."
