Bella pranced into school at 7:00am on Monday morning, sipping on her iced latte with a large grin on her lips. Even having gotten beaten up by a group of thugs last night couldn't dampen her mood.

Liz and Abby were waiting for her by Ms. Raymond's classroom because they had to go in early to plan for the spring homecoming some more. Bella eyed Peter standing by his locker, so she told her friends to wait for a moment. She walked to her locker and pressed a small kiss on Peter's lips.

"Hey, boyfriend," she said with a large smile.

"Hi," he replied, looking a bit dazed. "You look really pretty. I like that sweater a lot."

"Figures," Bella replied. "Considering it's yours. You left it at my house when you left yesterday morning and I figured, as your girlfriend, it was my duty to wear it. As your girlfriend."

"Well, I approve of the decision, as your boyfriend," he said, grinning at her.

"I gotta go, but I'll see you in homeroom."

Bella kissed him once more before skipping towards Liz and Abby.

"Hello, beautiful ladies," Bella sang. "It's such a great day, isn't it?"

"It's freezing and raining," Abby replied, rolling her eyes. "Try to cut the PDA with nerd boy, won't you? It's gross."

"The kiss lasted for like two seconds," Bella retorted. "And don't call him nerd boy."

"Aw, look at you," Liz teased. "Getting all protective over your boyfriend."

"Ugh," Abby gagged. "So, I suppose he'll be your plus-one to my party?"

"If he wants to come, then yeah," Bella said. "Have you got a date yet?"

"I'm still choosing between four guys, which I narrowed down from ten. It's hard because whichever idiot I bring to my party I'll have to go to homecoming with due to the timing and all... total drag," Abby ranted.

As Bella mused in confusion over why the school would call it homecoming if the dance was in the middle of May, Liz had another idea.

"You know, Abs, you talk about hating guys so much one might think you were gay."

"Oh, I'm not gay," Abby said. "I wish I was, because being attracted to men is so... unfortunate."

Liz giggled and opened the classroom door. The student councils from each grade were gathered together, as well as a few other students. Bella, as the sophomore class president, was required to be there – Liz too since she was the secretary. Abby, on the other hand, had no interest in student government but she could plan a party like nobody's business.

"Hey, Betty," Bella greeted, sitting down next to the junior president.

The blonde girl smiled at her kindly before looking at Dan, the senior president. Dan was graduating a week after the dance and was busy organizing some kind of alumni event. Well, that was why it was called Spring Homecoming, Bella supposed. People who had graduated were coming back to send the seniors off.

"Do you think we could somehow get Poltergeist and Spider-Man to come?" the freshman vice president, Tom, suggested. "They could, I don't know, present the homecoming king and queen or whatever?"
