Arian POV Me and Nina made our way up to the front door of my parents home I was actually looking forward to being surrounded by family.

As soon as we got to the door it flew open and my dad stood there smiling down at me. I immediately walked into his arms enjoying the hug he was giving me. "Hi daddy." I said smiling up at him " Hi sweetheart. You guys come on in." He then leaned around and hugged Nina as well " hey Mr.D" "Hey Nae, you been keeping my baby girl out of trouble." He asked her this all the time, not realizing that all the times we've ever gotten into trouble she was the master mind. " Of course. Even though I thought I was gonna have to call for bail money earlier today." We were making our way to the family room to sit down until my mama was done with dinner. My dad threw himself tiredly into his favorite chair and said "Baby girl I told you didn't I!" " Daddy I didn't do anything. Swear." "You better not have." He said pointing a finger at me. Nina was sitting next to me laughing " it's not funny, you're a snitch and you know I didn't do anything to that man." She looked at me and shrugged and said " well I did say I 'thought' I was gonna have to call for bail money." I changed the subject. " where are my brothers?" "Late as per the usual." I turned upon hearing my mama's voice. I got up and walked to her and hugged her " hey mama" "Hi sweetie how was your day?" She asked as she hugged Nae. " it was okay nothing too eventful I unmanned someone's pitbull, and had to do an emergency surgery on a husky.That's the most fun I had all day." "Lovely because I just love to discuss the removal of dog balls before dinner." My dad rolled his eyes " Joyce you asked her about her day, that was her day. Don't start." I smiled looking at the two of them. I knew how much they loved each other. My dad would go to the ends of the earth for my mama and so would she. They continued to go back and forth like two teenagers. My mama was sitting on his lap and it made me wonder what it would be like to be loved that fiercely by a man. I heard the front door open and loud talking and knew that my brothers had just walked in. "Yeah right nigga you know you ain't pullin like that." I heard my oldest brother Michael say. "What you mean fool look at me." I knew that had to be Gabriel he was third oldest and conceited. "Let me see her... daamn she got a fat ass." Of course that was Blake he loved booty. He was bro #2 "Nigga how you know she got a fat ass that's just a picture of her face." My 4th oldest brother Jackson said laughing "It's a science you can tell if a girl got a fat ass just by looking at her face, but you gotta be skilled." They all started laughing at my twin Orion co- signing the foolishness. My parents were obviously very busy during their baby making years. 6 kids total, but my mama didn't want to stop until she got a girl. So my dad being the over achiever that he is, and determined to give his wife what she wanted, kept her bare foot and pregnant for 5 years straight. When she got pregnant for the last time and they told her she was having a boy she said she was giving up. She didn't know she was having twins. I spent the whole 9 months hiding behind my brother, and they got the surprise of a lifetime when I popped out after him. To say I was spoiled was an understatement. My mom removed herself from my dad's lap and met all five of my brothers at the opening to the family room. They all immediately went silent upon seeing the look on her face. " have y'all lost y'all's minds coming up into my house talking like that about a woman like she's a piece of meat!!" My oldest brother Michael immediately put on the charm and tried to diffuse the situation "sorry mama, you look gorgeous as ever today." She quickly responded back and said, " shut that up Michael I know what you're doing." The rest of them started snickering in the back " what's funny?" She looked around him at the rest of her 6 foot plus sons and they all shook their heads and said "nothing" in unison. "Come on let's go eat!" She said after a few seconds. Everyone filed out behind her. I noticed that Michael made sure he got in the seat on the other side of Nina.
We were all sitting around laughing and talking and suddenly dating became the topic of discussion. "So when am I going to get some grand babies out of one you?" My mama started. " I volunteer Michael as tribute!" Orion yelled across the table at my oldest brother. Everyone started laughing. Except my mama of course. "How you just gonna volunteer me for some mess like that? Nigga have you lost yo mind. Don't put that evil on me." "I second that O especially after that foolishness mama had to walk in on last month Mike. I think it's time you settle big Mike down before there be a lil Mike jr." Gabe piped in lookin petty. I was just sitting back enjoyin the show. I saw Nina's spine stiffen at the mention of the woman that Michael had been caught with in his house. She really cared about my brother it's too bad he thinks everything is a joke. " hey hey hey we moved past that I have been delivert!" He said slamming his hand on the table and then he proceeded to act like he was slain in the spirit. We were laughing so hard we were cryin cause we knew this fool was lying he just didn't want mama on his back again. "Well I personally can't wait to get married and have kids." Nina said My mama beamed at her. It was no secret that she wanted Michael and Nae to get together like yesterday. She was mad he was dragging his feet. Nina then killed all happiness for her with her next words "I've actually started dating this really great guy and I think it's getting serious." Everyone stopped eating when Michael loudly dropped his fork into his plate and turned to look at her shocked. "Who the hell is this nigga!" "Michael language" my dad said "aw shit" Gabriel whispered under his breath as he wiped a hand down his face. I sat there just as shocked because I knew my friend was lying through her teeth, cause I would have known about this guy by now. "Arian have you met him?" He said looking at me. By now the table was quiet because everyone was shocked at his reaction. I mean everyone knew how much Nina liked Mike but he always played it off like she was just family. Nina looked at me with pleading eyes so I did what any good friend would, I lied. " yeah I've met him. He's a great guy. He treats her so good, and he always brings lunch so you know anyone with food is a winner to me." I said laughing nervously. "Hm"he said and then went back to eating. The rest of dinner wasn't as eventful. Mike was unusually quiet, and he didn't stay for dessert even though mama made his favorite tonight. He rushed out like he had a lot on his mind. Me and Nina were making our way down the driveway towards my truck she had rode with me and she was really quiet. As soon as we got in I asked " what's wrong? What made you tell that lie at dinner? And don't say it wasn't a lie cause I know it was." She took a deep breath and said " I'm taking matters into my own hands, I'm tired of being overlooked by him, so if I have to make up some fake boyfriend to get his attention then I will. We both know how your brother is he loves to chase, so I'm gonna make him chase me. Hell I might actually start dating someone just so it's believable." " Well he was def upset tonight. I've never seen my big bro that quiet." " I know" she said smiling goofily " he was actually jealous" I laughed at her and started the car and drove off. I was gonna stay out of their business. If this was what she felt was needed then who am I to get involved?
August POV It was late, but I couldn't sleep. I was too busy thinking about my sassy lil vet. Drizzy should be moving to her house by Monday morning, so I figured I could do a quick lil pop up Monday night. It's just something about her. I can't wait til Monday. I feel like a teenage boy running behind his first crush all over again. And Aug don't do crushes. I see something I like I go fa it. I'm definitely seeing something I liked, and I couldn't wait to taste it. I ashed my blunt and made my way back inside ready to take my ass to bed. We'll see what Monday brings.
