Chapter 18 - Comforting Kathy
Keith
It really hurts you know... The girl you love choosing another man..... Not believing your words and saying that you should just leave....
Even if we were not the best of friends, she still considered me as a friend and she should have believed me. I mean, what are friends for if you don't even trust each other?
I drove home feeling hopeless, thinking of what that bastard would do to her.
"Would you like a cup of tea, sir?" Jason said.
"No." I said quietly.
"Sandwich, sir?" I shrugged. "How about a glass of juice?" I shrugged. "A piece of cake? Chocolate? Caramel? Mocha? Cheese?-"
"Jason just shut up!" I shouted.
He stopped and looked down. I began to feel guilty.
"Look, Jason, I'm sorry but just not today..." I said quietly. I rubbed my forehead and climbed up to my room.
Kathy, please, don't do this to yourself....
~**the next morning**~
I woke up feeling tired and would just want to stay in but I wouldn't 'cause I still have plenty of classes to attend.
So I just snoozed my alarm clock.
~**an hour later**~
Oh god!
I didn't snooze my alarm, I turned it OFF!
Damn it! Now I'm running late.
I took the fastest shower then took a piece of bread then drove off.
~**at school**~
What's the fuzz all about?
Why are they all going to the same hallway?
What happened? Did a fight occur? Cat fight? Someone embarrassed theirselves? Someone making out? An idiot spilled his drink?
Sometimes I wonder why I'm you...
I shrugged and just go there. And when got to where the commotion is going on, I was greeted by a sight I have always hated.
Kathy crying...
I pushed the people surrounding her aside telling them to give her some space. Some people left immediately and some resisted but in the end they too, obliged.
I bent down to her. Her hands were covering her face. Her sobs were uncontrollable. She was even shaking.
"Kathy..." I said softly. When she heard my voice, she stilled for a moment. And then cried harder. I held the hands that were covering her face. Slightly tugging them. Though she wouldn't let go. She cried even harder. "Kathy... Please tell me what's wrong..."
"No... K-Keith just g-go..." She said in between hiccups.
"You think I'm leaving you, when you're here, crying?" I said silently laughing to brighten up the mood.
"K-Keith I-I told you t-that I w-won't go cry-ying then running to y-you.... So, just leave me be." She said half mumbling and half hiccuping.
"I'm not leaving you Kathy. So you better just tell me what's wrong." I said turning serious.
"Y-you already know K-Keith..."
"What is it?" I asked.
"You w-were right, K-Keith. You were r-right. And I-I w-was wrong. I was s-so wrong. I was dead wrong, Keith." She cried.
