Chapter 4

I was sitting against the wall of my school.  It was lunch time and since I had no friends I just sat alone outside and munch on what they  refer to as," edible lunch food".  I wondered of what I could have done or what was wrong with me that I had no friends.

After a good ten minutes, I was approached unexpectedly  by a by that goes by the name of Harry. I knew  him from my maths class, but I never really talked to him.

" Hey Alex."

" Hi, Harry right?" I asked , obviously knowing the answer.

" Yea." he chuckled.

At this point I stood up from the wall to meet his eyes.

" So I know we really don't talk much but I was hoping that we could hang out some time? You know? We could maybe study for that maths test next week ?"  H  asked.

I was caught by surprise by his request. I was hesitating to say yes because it was all so sudden, and I was surprised that someone wanted to hang out with me, in this case a boy, but I thought to myself, " Having a friend won't hurt, right ?" . Little did I know.

Alex's P.O.V

I shudder at the memory of my first encounter with Harry as I finally entered Principle Rose's office and sat down. I could feel his eyes on me, but I did not look his way. Principle Rose entered.

" So Harry, this is your guide for the day, Alex, this i-,"

" Harry, yes I know, we've met already." I cut him off rudely.

" Ok well you how the process right?" he asked.

" Yes. We first start with the core classes, next the electives, then we move on to the facility, blah blah blah." I said with a monotone voice and a very fake smile at the end.

" Ok then, here is your schedule along with a map of the school grounds. One more thing we do not allow kids to go the Austin James auditorium which is across campus, Alex will explain why later. So I think that's everything. Off you go then," he ushered us out of his office.

" What the hell is trigonometry?" he finally spoke.

"Its a math class." I said.

" Oh, is it hard?" he asked clearly trying to make conversation.

" Not really, as long as you pay attention and take notes, you're all good." I said not wanting to talk to him much.

" So how's it goi-"

" Look, I don't know why the hell you are here or what you are looking for but I'm only giving you this tour and after that you don't ever speak to me, look at me, or even think about me. Got it ?" I said in a menacing voice.

" I'm sorry for being here unexpectedly but I came here to ma-"

" I don't care why you are here. I just want to get this tour done with so I don't have to ever speak to you again."

" Fine, but I'm not giving up so easy."

" We shall see about that."

With that I continued the tour and Harry stood mostly quiet throughout the entire thing.

" -and lastly the auditorium Rose was talking about. It is forbidden for students to go in."

" Why?" asked Harry with his brows furrowed.

" Tragic story, that I would rather not say at the moment. Anyways, this concludes the tour. You have the map and I just showed you where everything is at, so if you need help feel free to ask any of the 3,000 students here, except me." I said rather sarcastically. " Have a nice life Harry." With that I turned and headed towards the student lounge, leaving a bewildered Harry questioning who was the girl who he just spoke to because that wasn't the Alex he last saw, but then again he changed her.
