Chapter eighteen: Waiting

Chapter 18

Masato

Its 10:03am already, Aika hasn’t arrive yet.

Did something happen?

I called her multiple times but it’s either the number’s busy or out of coverage area.

If I moved here, will she come?

If I stay here, will I keep waiting?

I walked towards her apartment and ring the doorbell yet no one answered. I turn the doorknob, it’s unlocked.

I entered the room yet no one is inside. Her clothes are gone too.

Did she leave me?

Because of what happened yesterday, did she change her mind?

Where is she?

Why do I have lots of questions?

Why do I love her?

 “I won’t let her go” I whispered.

I dialled Haru’s phone number, it’s ringing but no one is answering.

I’m all alone, as always.

Haru

“Auntie! Uncle” I called, as soon as I saw them.

“Haru” Auntie hugged me. “Aika, Aika’s in the emergency room” she cried.

“What happened?” I asked. Aika never got into an accident, she’s always careful.

Her Mom is crying too much, she can’t answer my question.

“She left the car to look for some Masato guy; she’s not looking where she’s going.” He paused, wiping the sweat from his face. “Then this car bumped her”

Masato’s the one to blame.
