Better Not

Sedona's POV

Something's wrong.

Before Grey and Vasali left earlier they gave me my phone back -but not without programming their numbers in it first- and the first thing I did was call Siena. I've called her three times and she hasn't picked up not once.

I stand up from the kitchen table and make my way back to my room. When I get there I start looking for my shoes. I grab them from beside the bed and make my way back downstairs and head towards the door.

"Miss Edwards, I can't let you leave the house by yourself." Someone said from behind me. I turn around to see whose talking. The guy standing in front of me doesn't really look like a bodyguard. More like a bodybuilder. I immediately take a couple steps back. His face is blank of any expression, his eyes were so brown they were almost black. He also wore all black. He reminds me of The Rock. I wonder if he's really as mean as he looks.

I shake myself from my inner thoughts.

"Well come on then." I say, feigning bravery.

"Wait here," he says gruffly and walks away. When he comes back he has car keys in his hand. He steps around me, opens the door and waits for me to exit. He leads me to a huge black SUV. The windows are tinted completely black. I'm assuming this whole car is bullet proof. Grey and Vasali look like the type of men that would have nothing but the best security.

We get into the car and he starts it, but doesn't make any moves to go anywhere.

"Aren't we gonna go?" I ask, confused.

"You can't go anywhere with just one bodyguard madam." Just as he says this, a man walks out of the house. He's a lot smaller than the first guy, but still pretty big compared to my small 5'2. frame. He makes his way over to the car and gets in on the passenger side, and bodyguard number one starts to pull out of the driveway.

"Are you guys my permanent guards?" I ask the silent men.

"Yes ma'am." Bodyguard number two answers.

"Ew. Please don't call me 'ma'am'. It makes me feel old. Just call me Sedona or Donny."

"I'm afraid the Bosses wouldn't like that ma'am." Bodyguard number two answers again. I'm coming to the conclusion that he's the more talkative one. Less tense. Not so serious.

"Why?"

"That's not for us to answer madame." Bodyguard number one finally speaks.

"Okay. So what are your names? I can't keep referring to you as Bodyguard number one and two."

"I'm Dakota," says bodyguard number two. "And that's Yuri. He doesn't talk much. We're brothers." Now that's he said it, I could see the resemblance.

"Well it's very nice to meet both of you."

"You too madame." Dakota says.

We've been riding in silence for about four minutes when I realize I didn't tell then where I wanted to go.

"Are you taking me home?" I question.

"Well, we assumed that's where you wanted to go." Dakota stated.

"Well, you have assumed correctly,"  and then I think, "wait, why do you know where I live?"

"Uhh... we didn't. We were going to wait until we got into town to let you tell us the directions." I let out a sigh of relief, glad that they didn't say that they used to stalk my house before I was taken. Not like they would tell me that anyway.

I decide to call Siena, but yet again it rings until the voicemail picks up. I leave a message this time.

"Siena! Why are you not picking up the phone? I'm coming home, and you better be there." I reprimand over the message.

-------

It takes us about two freaking hours before we get back to the city. So I'm playing a game on my phone to pass the time and I just so happen to look up and look out the window. In front of Siena and I's favorite café is Siena's car.

"Wait wait! Pull in at this café right here." I say to Yuri and he does as I ask. I scramble out of the car and run to the window of the cafe. I put my hands over my eyes to block out the sun as I look through the glass of the store window.

I look around and I see Siena. But she's not alone.

'Is that...? No. That's two totally different guys. And even if it was them, it means nothing. Please God, let it mean nothing.'

I think this before I walk into the café. I make my way over to Siena and her table mates. She looks up and around the room and does a double take when she sees me. And it was in that moment, Siena knew that she had fricked up. Every drop of color drained from her face. I stopped mid-step, as I feel my eyes start to water, and my throat tighten.

She goes to stand up, but I'm already turning to leave. I can hear her catching up to me. 'She better not touch me.' I think to myself.

"Donny! Please let me explain!" I whip around to face her.

"You know what, go ahead and explain. Tell me that what I'm thinking is wrong. Tell me that you didn't betray me! Tell me that you didn't help get me kidnapped!" I yell all of this in her face. She done started crying. "I don't see what you're crying for. You weren't crying when I was getting drugged and taken away." I say with nothing but venom in my tone.

"Donny, you don't understand they're my brothers. I couldn't say no. Especially under the circumstances." she cried.

"And just what are the circumstances? I ask her.

"Your father has something of ours, and we want it back."

"Yeah, I know that part. But what is it that he has?"

She opens her mouth to answer but she gets cut off.

"We told you, when you tell us your secret we'll tell you ours." Grey said from behind me. In the corner of my eye I see Siena reach out to me.

"Don't touch me."

"Donny please. You're my best friend. I knew you wouldn't get hurt. We're best friends."

"Are we? I would never do something like this to you. Not even to please my family."

"Donny-"

"Stop calling me that! I'm so done with you." I turn to get back into the SUV. Before I stepped into the car I felt a hand on my arm, and I know it's Siena. I turned around and punched her in the face.

Hard.

I told her not to touch me.
