prompts: if you were to walk in on one of the boys crying about something, what would it be and how would they react to you seeing them cry? 

alex

alex would probably be crying due to stress and exhaustion. due to being an insomniac, having ocd and a lot of work to do: he would overload himself and refuse to rest until he knew that all of his work was done up to his standards – which are unrealistically high. he won't rest until he's redone each essay at least 3 times.. even then it's not good enough.

laurens

he would probably be crying over a tragic event or the fact that one of his trans/gay/bi friends are having trouble and are being bullied. he is a big believer in the lgbt+ community and he likes to do a lot of work for different charities that support it. the word is hard, but being pan and polyamorous, he wants to raise awareness and make it a world where nobody has to "come out" because it's not assumed that someone is going to grow up straight – it's the normal thing to like boys/girls/anyone? he would love a world like that, he's just sad that he might not be alive to see such a thing.

hercules

he tries too hard to be strong. he is the one who likes to support everyone and be a shoulder to cry on, but he feels that because that's his role, he can't go to anyone else and cry because he doesn't want to burden them or bring them down. so sometimes, he likes to sit in his room and cuddle his pillow and just let it all out! everyone needs to do that sometimes, right? so does hercules, he don't want to burden anyone by having them worry about him.

lafayette

much like hercules, lafayette hides his true emotions and a lot of the time he pretends to be happy and almost puts up an act. when he gets home, it's a relief. he doesn't have to force a smile; he can relax and show his true emotions. although he does have times where he is genuinely happy, sometimes its forced.
