I walked in the school the next day, an hour late. Everyone's heads snapped towards me and started whispering.
"She's a total slut,"
"She wasn't here yesterday because she was illegally racing. I bet she was,"
"She's a total hottie,"
"Isn't she the gang leader of Monster?"
"She's such a bitch,"
I shrugged it off and walked to my locker. I threw my knapsack in and got my books and pencils.
I walked to class and sat in the back. I put my feet under the seat, resting them on the bars. A kid tried to put their stuff under the chair but then noticed my feet was there. He muttered a 'sorry' and put his stuff on his lap.
Elliott walked in and sat next to me. He looked at me and tapped me. I just cocked and eyebrow and motioned for him to talk.
"Some bitch ass gang leader is coming to school tomorrow," he said and flipped off a boy that was looking at him.
"Then we'll make the 'bitch ass gang leader' leave. Easy as that." I air quoted the bitch ass leader.
"But-but he's the gang leader of The Red Bloods. This will have to take time. Alot of time," he said, staring at the white board.
"The Red Bloods can walk on fucking Legos for all I care." I said and threw a wad of paper at a girl with brown hair and green eyes, she has dated almost everyone in this school but I won't slut shame her because she was in some sort of relationship with them. And it's certainly not my business.
She looked at me and smiled. I smiled back and waved. She turned around and wrote in her notebook.
"Luna," Elliott said in a warning tone.
"What?" I asked, knowing what he was talking about.
"Stop flirting with random people. I know you like all genders and all but just bring it down a few notches," he said and sighed.
"Fine," I groaned, holding the 'I'. The teacher stared at me, I smirked, and he visually shivered. Mr. Fletcher passed out worksheets and sat at his desk. The kid in front of me gave me my sheet and I quickly finished it. I walked up to the little table up in front.
It has a little divider that has slots for your work; turn-in, absent work, late, and extra credit. I shoved it in turn-in and went back to my seat. Everyone looked at me astonished.
"Get back to work, so you guys can go to college for fucks sake!" I yelled. The class went back to work and I finally felt comfortable.
I can only trust two people. Berry and Elliott. They are the only ones that have stand by me no matter what.
Through my alcoholic days, my drug addiction, my abandonment issues, and everything that makes me, me. When I first met them, I pushed them away but they kept coming back, like a lost puppy. And I love them for that. We will always have our backs.
"Where's Berry?" I asked.
He gave me an apologetic look and said, "at the back of the, uh, school,"
My eyes widen and I got up. "Are you being serious? One-hundred percent serious?"
"Yeah, I am," he said and looked at his hands. I ran out of the classroom and to the back of the school. I saw Berry leaning against the brick wall. He was high and drunk, it was obvious. A stray tear ran down my cheek as I looked at him. I saw druggies laughing at him.
I glared at them and they shut up. "Leave, now!" I yelled at them. They scurried away. I looked at Berry, he was clueless to what he has done.
I crouched in front of him and his eyes were dead. They held no emotion. "Oh, Berry, what have you done?"
I could tell the drugs were wearing off. So he could somewhat understand what I was saying. I sat down criss cross applesauce.
"Did I do . . . bad?" He shuddered at the word 'bad'. His father's girlfriend always told him he was bad when he was younger. He absolutely hates that word.
"No, Berry. Come here," I said and opened my arms. He jumped into them and started sobbing, soaking my shirt with his tears. I rubbed his back as if he was a younger child that got scolded and needed aftercare.
"I'm sorry!" he yelled, but it was muffled by my shirt. After about ten minutes his tears and sniffles stopped.
"Wanna go to my house?" I asked. He pulled away and nodded. I stood up first then helped him up. We walked to the parking lot and I helped him in my neon green Audi R8. I closed his door and got in. I drove to my house.
We walked in and, like usual, no one was home. I helped him to the couch and laid him down. I made him and myself hot chocolate. I walked back and placed his blood red coffee cup on the coffee table.
He sat up and looked at me, "thank you, Lu." He grabbed the cup, his hands shook, he almost spilled it. I rushed over and guided the cup to his mouth. He thanked me again once he put the cup down.
"You helped me, so, I'm helping you, Boo." I said and swept his hair out of his face. "You should get some rest. I'll sleep on this couch so you won't be alone. Okay?"
I laid down on the other couch and didn't fall asleep, but he did. I texted Elliott where me and Berry are. I soon fell asleep after we decided that me and Berry are just going to sleep for the rest of the school day.
