Anika
I never thought I'd be where I am now. Working as a field agent for an intelligence agency thanks to V. Him and Rika helped me find myself.
"Nika, do you have the information our Savior wants?" Saeren asked.
"Ask this flashdrive," I said and grinned.
"Good work," he said and pat my head.
"So tell me, why do you hate your brother?" I asked and stood by him.
"He left and never came back. He never kept his word," he sighed. "How many times are you going to ask?"
"I never get tired of hearing it. You're lucky though. At least you have a brother. I have no one," I answered.
"Tell me your story again," he said and looked at me.
"Just the same as yours. Except my father wasn't like yours. He was just a constant drunk and tried killing me many times," I said. "I ran away when I was seven. A girl around my age found me. She took me someplace safe."
"You ran away?" He asked.
"Based on that information, I can tell that your brother is a hacker for an agency. You know, becoming an agent means having to give up any close relations with others. What if he did what was best and has a plan?" I asked.
"Don't speak as if you know what his plans were!" He sneered and pinned me to the wall.
"Saeran," I sighed. "I'm just trying to help you."
"I don't need your help," he growled.
"Get it through your thick skull, Saeran. I'm going to speak my mind. If I want to try opening your eyes past this lie of "paradise" that Mint Eye created, I will," I scoffed.
"Mint Eye is paradise! If you have something against it, then you can go!" He shouted.
"And leave you?" I scoffed. "You've already had one person leave. Besides, I know how much you really don't want me to leave. You enjoy our squabbles. The only way I'm gonna leave is if you come with me."
"I'm not leaving. I demand that you go," he stated.
"Stubborn as always. I'll leave for now. You have my number. Call if you need me. Bye Saeran," I said and blew him a kiss as I walked out of the building.
2 Years Later
He never called me. I was given so much work that I didn't even have time to visit. He completely erased all traces of me from Mint Eye.
I never thought he would put a false paradise before a friend. I was wrong though. I put too much faith in our friendship. That's what he called it when we first met in the cells... I can never forget those days.
"Anika! Focus!" My boss commanded.
"Right! Sorry!" I nodded and chased the car.
My motorcycle is at full speed and I've never felt such a rush. I've been assigned to watch over agent 707. Vanderwood is with him, but ultimately I'm their Superior. A superior that 707 doesn't know about.
It's weird really. I'm a year younger than him, yet I'm over him. Anyways, back to the task at hand. The person I'm chasing now is a common criminal wanting to be a big shot.
I don't remember his name, I never remember names. I only pay attention to my job and work for my pay. It's fun. Sometimes I have to get real physical and fight.
