Mark POV:

"Everything ready" I said to myself as I put the last candle in place "Now let's just wait" I pulled out my phone, 10:25 pm written on the screen and texted Craig.

"Mark? baby" he knocked on the door as I sobbed "Mark... I so sorry... I forgot our anniversary, I was so focused on work that... I'm sorry" I just ignored him and cried on the pillow

---Time Skip... again---

I woke up with the reflexion of the sun shine in the room, I sat up and rubbed my eyes as I yawned. I walked out of the room, the house was empty 'Craig, went to work like nothing happened' I huffed and took a long shower before walking down stairs to prepare myself something to eat.

"Mark?" I looked towards the living room to see Craig on the couch with pajamas, I turned around to keep walking "Wait! baby!" "Wait" he turned and opened the closet to take out a box, it wasn't wrapped or anything but it was heavy, he placed the box on my lap and he sat next to me

"What's this?"

"Your anniversary present" I pulled the lid of the box and I was pushed back by tiny paws

"A dog!" the small golden retriever licked my face

"I know, you've been going to the animal shelter to pet the dogs and help Damien, so... I adopted one for you" the puppy jumped into Craigs legs and began to bark "Ok, okay little girl" he giggled

"Listen... Craig I... I'm sorry for acting the way I did yesterday, I was a little tired and-" he kissed me and caressed my cheek   

"It's all my fault darling, I should have called you, and been here early" I leaned and kissed him deeply 

"Let's forget that happened yesterday, okay?" 

"Sure" I grabbed the dog and raised her up

"What' would your name be?" Craig only looked at me waiting for me to name her "Chika!"

"Chika?"

"Yes Chika!" the dog barked and jumped around the bed before running out of the room when I was about to stand from the bed Craig pulled me by my wrist, I stumbled and turned towards him as I fell over him with my head on his chest "I-I'm sorry" I blushed and tried to push myself from him

"Come on, don't you want to lay here for a while" he smirked and I blushed harder
