Special notice at end!

Percy's fist throbbed as he pulled his arm back. Moody's grizzled face was frozen in shock as he lay on his back, his face sporting a new purple bruise on his temple. The magical eye had clanked really disgustingly in the socket as he hit the ground too. Bleh.

"Alright," Percy muttered as he recklessly kicked Moody's limp form to the side. "Where did my wand go?" After searching on his hands and knees, Percy finally felt the familiar engraved stick lying on the ground. He sent up a shower of red sparks, which hovered above the spot where Mooy lay. Hopefully, Dumbledore would find him.

But first, Percy had to get to Harry.

"C'mon," Percy muttered as he turned around. "Where'd you go?" Northwest. That was where Annabeth said the cup was. And no doubt Hermione had relayed that information to Harry as well. Percy looked at his wand nervously. "Okay. Uh, let's see. What was the spell again?" The four point spell. Percy cursed. What was latin for four-point spell? Oh, right, he could say it in Greek. "Four point spell!" In his open palm, the wand began to spin before it pointed backwards, towards North. Percy followed the wand, completely aware that he may have already missed the center of the maze and was simply going farther away. With his luck, that was probably what happened. But there was nothing to do but keep walking onward.

Luckily (that was a first), or perhaps unluckily (which would make more sense), he stumbled upon a clearing. In the center of the clearing was Harry, who was sprinting at him as fast as he possibly could. Pursuing him was a massive spider that could compare to Arachne. The spider was moving a whole lot slower that it would normally move, it's eight legs wobbling like a baby goat trying to stand for the first time. Jelly legs curse. He'd seen it on Hermione.

"Run!" Harry yelled as he passed him, limping slightly. In a flash of bronze, Riptide was out and cutting through the legs of the spider. The monster collapsed on top of Percy, but Riptide was still aimed upwards and as the body passed through the blade, it exploded into powder.

"Harry!" Percy turned and ran after him. "Harry, the spider's gone!"

Harry slowed his pace, breathing hard. "Thank the gods. That thing moved fast." He moved his left leg and winced, and Percy noticed a deep gash in the thigh. It was bleeding heavily.

"We need to finish this." Percy's eyes locked on something behind Harry. "I think I found it," He murmured, starting off. Harry looked down the maze and his breath hitched. A glowing blue light pulsed around the corner like a beacon. They entered the clearing, and there, on a stone pedestal, was the triwizard cup.

Percy exhaled, releasing the pent up energy and adrenaline that had built up the entire time in the maze. "Thank the gods it's over."

"Yeah." Harry stepped forward, his hand hovering just over the handle.

"Take it," Percy pressed him. "Just grab it, and we can be eating blue cookies in five minutes."

A smile toyed at Harry's lips, but he shook his head. "You take it. You took care of the spider. You'd've found it first anyways. It's blue," he added jokingly.

Percy grinned. "That makes it all the more tempting. We'll take it together," He relented. "At the same time."

"Fine by me." They stood on either side of the cup. "Three, two one."

The moment Percy's skin touched the cold handle, a burning sensation briefly ran up his arm. Percy tried to jerk his hand back, but he couldn't... by then, he felt his feet lift up off the ground... everything was blurring around them, wind roaring in their ears, mixing up with the dark colors of the hedge maze and the blue aura of the cup... Percy couldn't breathe... then suddenly, it was all over, and the cup threw them recklessly onto the ground.
