Chapter 3

Chanyeol sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. He didn't have time for any of this. "Let me get this straight. You're telling me that the bastard who killed my family has two sons, one who lives miles away and the other who's only in college?" He questioned. "You got it, boss," Tao nodded. "Why do I have the feeling there's something you're not telling me?" Chanyeol asked, eyeing the 5 people in front of him. "Well," Luhan began. "You better spill it in the next 10 seconds or I will not hesitate to shoot your brains out," Chanyeol growled. "The younger son's name is Byun Baekhyun, and he's 19 years old. He's best friends and roommates with another kid named Do Kyungsoo, and they have 4 other friends: Kim Minseok, Luhan, Kim Jongdae, and Kim Junmyeon. They-" "Kris, I don't see how any of this concerns to me, so just hurry up and get to the point before I explode, will you? I just need to know about this Byun Baekhyun kid," Chanyeol interrupted the rant. Kris looked annoyed, but nodded and continued to speak. "My point is that his family doesn't give two shits about him, but they do care about his brother, Byun Baekbeom. The two brothers used to be really close, until Baekbeom moved out, so now Baekhyun has nobody to lean on except for his friends. The only way we can get to Baekhyun is if something were to happen to his friends. Once we have Baekhyun captured, we can contact his brother, who will easily run into our trap. And once we have Baekbeom in our hands, we can finally get to their dad, aka the "bastard who killed your family," Kris explained. Chanyeol was quiet for a few minutes, trying to process all the information that was thrown at him. "Oh, and here's a picture of Baekhyun and his friend group. Baekhyun is the one in the middle doing the peace signs," Kris said, handing Chanyeol a picture. Just as Kris had pointed out, right in the middle of the group of boys was a slightly smaller looking boy with brown hair and the nerdiest pair of glasses he had ever seen. He had one arm around a, surprisingly, smaller boy with owl-like eyes, and his other hand was up, fingers forming a peace sign. He had a big smile on his face, which caused his eyes to form crescent shapes. Chanyeol just laughed, which caused his members to look at him in shock. "This is gonna be our easiest job, yet!" He exclaimed. "We can easily do this tomorrow, and you know what? We will!" The others just looked at each other, nervously, scared at their boss's overconfidence. "Since we want to make sure we get at least one of these nerds, we can each get a person. Kai, you go after the owl looking boy. Sehun, you get the girly looking one. Kris, I want you after the surprisingly good looking one. Tao, you get "Cheekbones" here, and Lay, sweet sweet Lay, I'm gonna give you the purple haired one. I'll take the bastard's son for myself," Chanyeol smirked, staring at Baekhyun in the photo. "Since we know Kyungsoo is his closest friend, he's gonna be our main target, which means you have the most important job, Kai. I trust you won't let me down," He said, giving the blonde haired boy a meaningful stare, to which the latter just smiled and jokingly saluted. "Everybody else, I need you to make sure to keep your guys away from Baekhyun and Kyungsoo. Do whatever you need to do, just make sure they're not even close to our targets, got it?" Everybody nodded their heads except for one person, who looked hesitant. "What is it, Lay? Don't even think of giving me any of the 'I don't wanna hurt anymore innocent people' shit again. You signed up for hurting said 'innocent people' when you joined EXO. You can either continue doing your job or face the consequences, and I highly recommend not choosing the second option if you know what's good for you," Chanyeol spoke in a low, threatening voice while glaring at Lay. "Y-yes boss. I'll do my job properly," Lay stuttered out. "Good. Now everybody go prepare whatever weapons or other things you need to. Tomorrow's gonna be a fun day," Chanyeol sneered, taking a look at the photo in his hand one last time before throwing it on the ground and leaving.

The rest of the guys left except for one of them, who walked over to the fallen picture and picked it up. "I'm so sorry," Lay sighed, while staring at the smiling boy in the photo with tear filled eyes. "I didn't know you would be involved in this. I hope you will be able to forgive me for being a terrible cousin, Baekhyun."

A/N: DUN DUN DUN!! I know y'all hate me for leaving it off at cliffhangers but I just can't help it! I should've probably been nicer since I haven't updated in FOREVER (see what I did there, hehe 😉) WHAT DO Y'ALL THINK OF EXO'S NEW ALBUM?? WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SONG?? I personally love Forever, that's first place for sure, but I can't choose a second place! They're all such amazing songs. EXO has done it once again!!
