After making the team, the girls and I spent pretty much everyday together. From classes, to lunch, to dance practice, and then after school hang out. It was awesome. I loved my friends, and I loved being part of the dance team; although, the practices are brutal. The routines are complex and different. Coach Abby pushes us to our limits until she can't push anymore, but I'm not complaining, quite the opposite actually, I praise her way of teaching. I've learned moves and techniques with her that were mere dreams for me in the past. She believes we can do absolutely every dance move if we just keep trying and work harder and harder each time, and she is right.
My dancing has gotten so much better. I'm closer than ever with my brothers. They understand what I've been through, and they realize where I'm at now, so they know not to treat me like glass or drudge up the past.
In the 3 weeks since I've been on the dance team, I have completely redecorated my room. I can't even remember what it looked like before, but now it's a pastel yellow, and I have a white bed, with a blue and pink bed spread, and my dresser is a rustic white shade.
It's currently Saturday, also the first day since tryouts that we haven't had practice. Like I said, She's brutal.. its about 8:00 am and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one awake, but I decided to stay in bed and just look on my phone for a little while.
Claire is going to the beach with her family today, Snapchat told me that.
Jasmine went to a party last night, Instagram showed me that.
Cleo stayed home and ate ice cream all night while she works on #gettingoverabadBF , twitter told me that.
The other girls didn't post anything on social media and I haven't gotten texts from them so it's safe to assume they did what I did; had a boring night then went to bed. Cause you know 'if it's not on social media it didn't happen' well even though that's not always true, I believe it.Dean's POV
The guys and I have been so distracted with how well Alana has been doing, and how happy she is that we completely forgot about the deal we made with our principal. She needs to go and recount all the things those girls did to her so that maybe there will be some type of justice.
"Hey guys when are we gonna talk to Alana about what she has to do at our school." I asked them
"Oh thats right.. maybe now? I mean we aren't doing anything, and she can have tomorrow to prepare and then go in Monday." Said Dillon
"Or we don't tell her." Said Weston
"what? Why wouldn't we tell her?" I asked
"Well for starters; she's happy, she's finally moved on." he continued
"Yeah, do we really wanna make her relive all that stuff, and step back into that place" Nathan agreed
"I don't want to trigger her and then her revert back to how she used to be.." Tyler said with worriment in his voice
"Guys, that girl is strong. If she doesn't do this then its like she hasn't really closed the door to that part of her life. its closure" Luke stood up as he said this
"Plus if she doesn't, and these girls get away with what they did, then their next victim might not be as lucky as Alana..." I said
"you are all right, but i think you are forgetting one crucial part." Austin said "We are not the ones that can make this decision."
"Alana is.." Dillon said looking to the stairs
We all walked up to her room and found her browsing something on her phone.
"Lani?" Tyler knocked to get her attention "can we come in"
"sure" she smiled "whats up?"
"we have something to ask you." Nathan said sitting on her bed
"I figured as much." she laughed sitting up
"When we un-enrolled you from our school, we wanted the principal to do something about Ashely and those girls." Dillon said
"But he said he couldn't do anything yada yada yada.. long story short, if you come in and tell him everything those girls did, he promised he'd do something. get them in trouble some how, will you do it?" I said ripping the band aid of
We all looked at her hoping she'd say something soon.
She looked puzzled
Her eyes searched her bed for an apparent answer
finally after what felt like an eternity - most likely 10 seconds - she looked up at me and said
"of course I will"
