Hello there, people! My deepest apologies if you've been waiting so long for this piece to be finished- I've neglected it terribly. See, I started writing this story on a small, Gen 1 iPod Touch, back when I was a freshman in high school.lo I'm a junior now, and nearing the end of my year. See, when I started this account and this story, I was not very skilled at writing. I had never attempted to write anything before, nothing as long as this story is, and I had never had any classes or formal training on it. Also, I never had the opportunity to check comments because the Wattpad app didn't let me view that, so I had NO idea people were actually enjoying me work- but that's beside the point. Basically, I sort of gave the impression when I posted that last story as sort-of an overused gag where I would have Sonic dreaming of Shadow's suicide, and then waking up and finding out everything is alright. I even had the rest of the story completed, another whole 4 chapters. But, see, my parents weren't so keen on me using the internet w/o their knowledge, and once this and certain 'other actions' got out, I was barred from it. By the time I had gotten the chance to use it again, I had honestly forgotten about the story. Then, about August last year, I remembered the story and decided to go back and read over it, since I had improved a lot in my writing skills. And then I realized something terrible: I had left the chapter where Shadow appears to commit suicide as the last one, and HOLY SHIT people freaked out about it. I must've seemed like a complete ass to all of you <w>
So, I shrugged it off, because I didn't have the time to write anything, and honestly I had no interest in it- I was planning on being a teacher. But...these last few months in my life have been quite groundbreaking and difficult for me, and I've learned a lot and changed a lot in that time. I'm not off to a great start, but I've some skill with writing things, and I'm aiming to either become a freelance writer or to go to college for it. I'm most likey going with the first option, though. XP
So, I apologize, but I cannot finish this story...not with the original chapters. I have lost them, along with that iPod Touch, and there was no where else they were saved. Because my writing style is SO much different now than it was then, I can't possibly recreate the ending of the story without causing a huge problem and/or rewriting the entire thing, which I'm not inclined to do. So, wanna know what happens next? Well, I'll tell you:
As stated previously, Sonic wakes up and finds out Shadow is fine, and he was dreaming. He stays in the hospital for a few days, and near the end of his visit, he recieves a call from Tails that there is an issue at the home he lived in previously. So, with Shadow in a somewhat-okay condition to travel, he ends up heading back to the foster-home, where they discover Ms. Janet is terminally ill. During their stay to take care of Ms. Janet, most of the other kids end up being taken to other foster homes to have a better place to live. The locals, who remember Sonic and Shadow very clearly, decide to 'pay a visit' to the couple taking care of Ms. Janet. There is a mob of people that arrive at the house, and while Sonic tries to convince them to leave, the stress from the people yelling and screaming and hurting the house causes Ms. Janet to have a heart attack, and Shadow flies into a rage. He ends up taking the life of a member of the mob, and he and Sonic end up going on the run for it. They end up making it to Canada and hiding out in a rather remote and snowy area there, where they live the rest of their lives. The End.
There, happy?! Happy that I didn't kill Shadow and Sonic?! XD
Nah, I could never do that on purpose, they're my favorite pairing of all time.
So, anyways, thank you for reading this, and my apologies for the LONG wait. I've decided to start writing again, as I said, and I DO plan on writing a more coherent, well-written Sonadow story, and this one will be leaps and bounds better in content and in overall skill, I promise you~
But, in the meantime, look out for anything else I might put out. I'm working, currently, on a story called "Outcast" (title can change), which I'll be hoping to put out soon.
