Draco's POV

She just looked at me! Why did I run away? This is not the person I used to be, letting a girl who barely even looked at me get me all flustered, anyway why is this girl getting me all bothered, I have known her for seven years and all I did was shout abuse at her, so why do I now have these feelings for her. These feelings are really getting to me, i'll be looking across a room and suddenly i'll start staring at her with no way of stopping my self, and the worse thing is she will never have the same feelings for me because i was so horrible to her over the last few years. I Draco Malfoy am falling in love with Hermione Granger the girl who punched me in the face in our third year, what is happening to me?

"Draco, Draco wait up!" i heard Blaise yell down the 5th floor corridor i was strolling along, i stopped and waited for him sheepishly.

"What is it we're going to be late for ancient runes" I asked back as he stoped to stand beside me.

"Oh you know I absolutely hate that subject, and it isn't anything in particular. I just thought it would be nice if my bestfriend stopped for me to walk with him. You know is that to much to ask?"

"No sorry, just been confused, i've been thinking about things... so didn't think to wait for you outside of astronomy, sorry"

"what's on your mind Drake?" 

"Oh just a girl..."

"well then i don't know what you're confused about, you can get any girl, they're all over you, especially after your little 're-birth'"

"re-birth? and no I can't get any girl I want"

" Yeah well maybe, that wasn't the best way to put it, I just mean after, Voldemort's defeat you obviously got to come back to the good side, the girls just seem to dig the now a good guy but still got the 'bad boy' look. You know i have no idea why but yeah that's how it seems to be" Blaise chuckled nearing the end of his sentence, i don't think he could cope with the fact he just said i had the ' bad boy ' look thinking of it I might just chuckle at the thought.

"Oh i see what you meant now, oh and girls seem to love my "bad boy" look do they?"

"Oh damn, I can't believe I said that. Well it's true I guess"

"Oh thanks Blaise, any who we really are late for Runes now lets go!"

"Alright come on" said Blaise as we started up the corridor.

All i could think about during acient Runes was Hermione, well at least it was lunch next, so I would see her, no that's creepy, I can't just sit and stare at her across the great hall now can I?

"Come on Draco, lunch time, I'm starving!" Blaise was 'always' hungry

"Okay, Okay i'm coming, just go yourself i'll catch you up i need to speak to the professor."

"Okay see you in ten then"

"Okay"

I didn't actually need to speak to the professor, I just hoped if i waited an extra couple of minues i might bump into Hermione coming back from one of her classes, if  I do i'll try to speak to her.

Oh no speaking of the devil there she is, oh and unaccompanied by the wonder twins, No Draco you need to be nice no mean nicknames!

"Hey" I blurted out without even thinking about it first, she's looking at me she seems confused, I don't know if she knows it was me who said it so when she looked at me, I gave her a curt nod.

she replied with a polite "Hello" but then almost instinctively added "Malfoy"

"How are you?" I inquired.

"fine thanks but may i ask why you are asking Draco"

Oh she's using my first name now well that is a good sign (i think)

"I was just wondering, you know i feel like i should speak to you..."

before she got a chance to answer i for what reason i do not know whispered "you're very pretty Granger"

She seemed stunned, she then said "What?, i'm so..."

and rather than her finishing her sentence, she mumbled "you're not too bad yourself Malfoy" then she practically ran off to the great hall.

Did myself and Hermione Jean Granger just flirt with each other, like... did that just happen?
