Chapter 1Sami POV
Sleep. The one thing that everyone needs in this world. The one thing people can't live without for more than eleven days. One of the many things that I need without anyone disturbing me (other than eating, and taking a shower). That one thing, that one important thing, I can't get right now.
I placed my hands over my ears to muffle the sound of the alarm going off. I mentally groaned, but nothing helped. I pressed the "Stop" button on my screen, and the annoying sound finally stopped. For me, I like to use any annoying song that makes me want to rip the hair off my scalp.
From two years ago, to about a few days ago, I was really annoyed by having the "Little Einsteins" theme song as my wake-up alarm. And that was a terrible decision. Now, it's Baby by Justin Bieber. WORST SONG EVER!
I feel that it is kind of sad that my brother can't hear anything that is played in my room... not even a little bit. Like, what if someone breaks into my room, and he doesn't hear it? It's really sad. He can't hear my alarms, either. The ones that are really, really annoying. Like the Justin Bieber songs from when he was a little kid.
I get it... I'm evil.
But still.
I rubbed my eyes, and I sat up on my bed. I yawned, and I stretched, making myself more awake. I slowly got out of bed, and did my bed, not forgetting to fluff my pillow at the end. Instead of going straight to the bathroom to brush my teeth, I walked out of my room, and I walked into the room right next to mine. My brother's room.
I silently closed the door after me, and I tiptoed right next to him. I heard him snoring lightly as he slept. He is a very deep sleeper. To be honest, he looks cute when he sleeps, but he won't be asleep for too long. I grabbed a pair of his headphones, and I put it on. Good thing that they are sound proof. Very helpful.
I grabbed the blow horn, and I pressed the button after shaking the can.
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHP!
I could lightly hear the sound of the blow horn blaring right beside his ear. His eyes bolted open, and he jumped out of bed, falling on his back. I took the headphones off, and I placed them on his homework/computer table. I heard him groan in pain. He got up, and glared at me.
"Sami, how many times have I told you to not use that blow horn?" He asked me.
"I'm sorry, Nathan. But you need to wake up early. You don't want to miss your first day of school." I signed. I can't talk. And I haven't said a word since I was five years old.
"Just because you wake up early doesn't mean that you have to wake me up early."
"Mom and Dad are already awake. I have to wake Noah up."
"How do you know?"
"You can't hear the pots and pans clashing against each other?"
"Oh..." I turned around to go to Noah's room, my little brother's room.
Right when I was about to walk out of his room, I felt something soft, yet heavy, hit my back, which almost made me fall on my face. Luckily, I caught myself before falling. I turned around, and looked at Nathan with disbelief.
"What the hell?!"
"That was for waking me up with something I hate." Not wanting to pick up a fight, I waved it off, and I walked out of his room, not forgetting to glare daggers at him.
