The book will explore several issues that plague some teens and young adults with a terminal illness. These issues include thoughts of suicide, depression, pain, negative self-esteem, etc.
Some of the issues that the MC deals with are things that I have personally felt or experienced at some point. I believe the written word can be therapeutic to the soul and if my words, help at least one person, then I've succeeded.
Music is therapy to me, so often it will find its way into my work. Most destinations I refer to in the book are actual destinations, but the activities may not be associated with them.
The book is written from alternating POVs of the main character, Ari, and her love interest, Dean.
There will be moments with adult themes, language, etc. The characters in the book are in their 20s-mid 30s, so language and sexual situations are bound to happen.
I'd like my book to remain available to a wide audience, but I suggest a 15+ audience.
