Chapter 3- Old Friends

Ariana's Pov
I decided to go home and call it a day when suddenly my phone rang. Great just when I need the day off to relax and sleep. I sighed picking up the phone anyway. " Hello?"

"Ariana it's Bradly.... Listen I need you to come down to the skatepark just down the road..."

" For what? You need a cheerleader to help you with your moves??" I said annoyed as possible.

"Very funny.... Just get down here now! Otherwise you know what happens...." He hung up the phone leaving me with annoyance and having no choice but to go. I shoved my phone back into my pocket before running towards the house to drop off my books. I was gonna be late probably by a few minutes but hopefully that didn't matter towards Bradly. As I headed towards the park, the words of what Max said kept echoing in my head over and over again. It was like as if he didn't want anything to do with me. But there's thousands of girls that could he mention about so what are the odds that it was me right? But why was I feeling like it was meant for me? Do I like Max? I shook my head trying to get into reality but still it kept coming back. I ran back outside making my way to the skatepark where a bunch of people were crowding over some guy. My guess immediately turned to fans of Bradly but that quickly changed when I saw Max in the air doing flips and tricks. Wow I never knew Max could skate that amazingly well. I was really impressed. I walked over when suddenly my arm was begin tugged on. My reaction was to scream and pull away but I am glad I didn't because the second I turned around, my old friend from back home was standing in front of me smiling and shocked. I hugged him tightly as he lifted me up a bit before putting me back down and pulling away. " Hey Ari! Long time no see!"

"Jake!!! I can't believe you're here!! I thought you were back in Wisconsin for college....." Apparently Jake had gone to Wisconsin for the summer for college after I left.

"Well I was but then I decided to transfer somewhere closer to home but I didn't expect to see you here!! How's your brother doing?" He said crossing his arms.

"Well he's Bradly.... Attention seeker and king of the X-games nothing new to report..." Jake laughed leaving me to laugh with him. Jake and I were best friends ever since 1st grade or as long as I can remember. And no it's not like we dated throughout those years. Jake crosses his arms smirking towards me. "So what's little miss girly doing out in the skatepark?"

"Haha very funny..... My brother need more viewers and promotions for the X-games coming up so he volunteered me to be his cheerleader..... Lucky me...."

"Oooo how's that going for you??" Jake laughed.

"It's going real- whoa is that Goofy?" I said pointing in the distance. A figure what it seemed to be Goofy riding on a skateboard doing all these crazy tricks and flips and people were impressed and awed by this. I grabbed Jake's hand and making our way through the crowd. Jake kept calling my name to slow down and to tell him what was happening. I finally got us to the front only to see Goofy do one finally flip in the landing in a perfect way as everyone clapped and cheered. " Wow that was amazing! Where do you learned to do that? " Jake asked in awed.

"I don't know actually but now I know why Max is crazy about this! It's fun!" Goofy responded before Max came up grabbing his board from Goofy's hand in annoyance. "Gimme that!!"

"Hey Max! What if I joined your team? We could practice together and wear them funny outfits and everything! It'd be a lot of fun!" Goofy suggested but Max sighed taking off his helmet and looking at his dad. " Dad as fun as that sounds there are no more openings on my team okay?"

"No more? You asked someone else?" Goofy asked worried that he was replaced.

"I did-" Before Max could answer him, his eyes faced me in shocked as he was caught by my attention. I couldn't say anything or do anything at this point but just to stand there with Jake there by my side. "I did! I asked him!" Max shouted quickly as he pointed at Jake who was in shocked. Pj, Bobby, Goofy and I all turned to Jake then back at Max. When did this happened?
