Chapter 10

Two months has sped by and it's now time for Alexis and Rudy to move out of their apartment. She's sad to go, but is no longer upset about living with her parents until she finds another apartment. Rudy is moving in with her cousin Ace so her and Alexis will still see a lot of each other.

Since last night was their last time staying in the apartment, Rico spent the night and helped her get her belongings together. All her clothes and other possessions were packed and ready to go. Rudy had left earlier in the morning so it was just Alexis and Rico at the moment.

"Oh, bae. We can start taking this stuff to the car now." Alexis carried a box.

Alexis and Rico carried the first load of clothes to Alexis' car and then went back into the apartment to get more. As they made trips back and forth, Anthony and Will entered the apartment. Alexis wasn't expecting them, they came unannounced.

"We came to help." Will said, looking at Rico.

Will had never seen Rico before, but he heard all about him from both Anthony and Alexis. Once Anthony saw that Rico was there, his whole facial expression changed and he tried to act like Rico wasn't even in the room. He didn't want to make Alexis mad by stirring up any problems.

"Hey, y'all. We got just about everything covered already." Alexis smiled.

"What's up, potna." Will held out his hand out for Rico to shake.

"What's up." Rico greeted Will.

"Baby, this is my God brother, Will. Will, this is Rico." Said Alexis.

"I'm taking this last box to my car." Rico said after nodding.

Before walking away, Alexis kissed Rico in front of her brothers. Anthony scoffed and turned his head. Will started cracking up once Rico walked away. Alexis then prepared to hear them talk shit about Rico.

"You bringing him to mama house?" Anthony asked.

"Yeah. Is there a problem?" Alexis rolled her eyes.

"Nah. I was just asking." Anthony shrugged.

"So that's the lil nigga that got you sprung?" Will asked.

"Y'all came over to help or be in my business?" Alexis swung her curly hair.

"Both. But as long as you happy and don't end up pregnant then he cool in my book." Will said.

"Whatever. Drive my car so I can ride with him." Alexis handed Will her car keys.

Alexis turned in her apartment key and then went to Rico's car. Will and Anthony were right behind her so they could trail them to Alexis' mother house. Once Alexis got situated in the car, she broke down how it would be to finally meet her parents.

"Time to head to my hood. You ready to finally meet my parents?" Alexis said, while throwing up a C.

"Yeah, I'm ready to see who raised your project ass."

"When you go in the house make sure your pants are pulled up and when you speak you have to make direct eye contact. My mama really don't care about all that, but my daddy does."

"I wouldn't just go in there and not speak." Rico chuckled.

"It's not funny. My daddy was in the military and his ass is crazy. Lord forgive me, but he's actually crazy." She never told Rico about her dad before.
