I quietly close the door and knock on Cam's door. I was pretty sure he was sleeping. I opened the door and find him sprawled out on his bed. He looked so cute with his hair messed up and drool dripping on the corner of his mouth. It made me want to jump on the bed and cuddle with him, but I can't.
"Psst, Cam. Sierra's not in her room," I say shaking him. He groans and waves me off.
"She's probably downstairs," Cam croaks. He had a pretty hot morning voice, but oh not a very good smelling one. I try to cover my nose without making it obvious.
"She's not. A drunk girl's on the loose," I say. Cameron finally wakes up and gets out of bed. He looks at me weirdly and asks, "Why are you covering your nose?" I turn him around and head him to his bathroom, "Because your breath stinks. Brush your teeth before we go." Cam sticks his tongue out at me, and I stick my tongue out back. When Cameron was done, his breath smelled minty. Cam smiled with his pearly whites showing.
"Am I good now?" He asks. I nod and take his hand and pull him out of his room. We tiptoe out of the house as my mom was out in the backyard reading the newspaper. The sun was still rising, and I thought where could a drunk girl go? Could she have gone to Tyler apologizing? Could she have camped out on the beach?
"I think I know where she is," Cam said. He started walking to the beach and I followed him. He turned to the right and looked under the boardwalk.
"I found her," Cam whispered as he waved me over. I peeked over and saw Sierra sleeping on some boy's hoodie. I was guessing it was Tyler's. Cameron picked her up, and Sierra rustled a little bit. Cameron carried her into the house and into her room. He wipes the bead of sweat on his forehead and let out a tired sigh.
"That was close," I said.
"Tell me about it. She was sleeping on a hoodie. It looked like that dickhead's, Tyler," Cam said scratching his head going downstairs. I nodded my head in realization and follow Cam to get some breakfast. We both pour cheerios in our bowls and then milk. We eat in silence for the whole breakfast.

The whole rest of the day, I was anticipating Sam's call. I gave him my number and he gave me his, but I wasn't sure if I should call. It was already 3 in the afternoon, and I hadn't heard from Sam yet. Should I call first or should I just be patient and wait? But what if I call and he thinks I want the D? I just want to get to know him better is all. After deciding if I should call him or not, I finally made the decision to call him first. Guys don't always have to make the first move, girls can do it. I look at my arm and try to make out the smudged numbers. I dial his number and when I about to press the green button to call him, my phone starts to ring. It looked like a local number, so I picked it up.
"Hello? I'm looking for a Kelsie?" A deep voice said from the other side of the line. It sounded like Sam's.
"This is she. Is this Sam?"
"Yeah, this is Sam. Sorry I hadn't called earlier. I was kind of busy," He explained.
"It's all good. I was actually about to call you," I said nervously. I never really talked to a guy on the phone, only text. I realized that I must really like this kid to even have the thought of calling him.
"Finally, a girl makes the first move. It shows she's not scared, but rather confident," he says. I blush a little and pat myself on the back for almost calling him. After awhile, my cheek started getting sweaty and read from my phone pressing against my face. Sam and I have been talking for almost two, amazing hours. All we talked about was our background, stuff like about our family and our hobbies. I didn't want to say bye just yet, but my phone was already overheating. My phone was probably going to explode anytime soon, so I apologized and said I would call him later. When I plugged in my phone in my charger, I checked on Sierra. I didn't bother knocking, and let myself in. There was Sierra with knotted hair, and drool on the side of her mouth.
"Hey. Do you need some advil? You went all out last night," I say sitting on the edge of her bed. Sierra slowly got up in a sitting position and nodded.
"Yeah, I'd like that," she said giving me a crooked smile. I walked the the bathroom that me and Cam share and open the glass cabinet. I picked out two tablets and poured Sierra cup of water from the sink. When I got back to Sierra's room, she had her hands to her face sobbing, her chest heavily rising and falling again. I set the medicine and the water next to her nightstand and rub her back in small circles, hoping she would be comforted. She did go through a lot the night before. She didn't have enough time to cry about Tyler, and instead thought of all the ways to crush him.
"It's okay, Sierra. Everything will be okay," I reassured her.
