The field trip to the greenhouse was strange to say the least, but at least it seemed to have gone better for Sam then Bella, who had been awfully quite on the bus ride back. Sam felt like prying but knew Bella wasn't one to talk about feelings, so she left it, but she had a pretty good idea that Edward Cullen was the reason for her glum attitude.

When Sam got home from school her mother was already asleep, having done a night shift. Food was in the fridge, along with a note; 'hope you had a good day at school sweetie, leftovers are in the fridge. X' her mother was always so thoughtful.

Sam and Bella enter the school cafeteria after a so far, uneventful day. Sam hadn't had any run ins with Jasper thus far and no classes with him. Truely she was disappointed, she wanted to talk to him, to hear his voice and to maybe, if she could work up the courage to ask him what the hell his deal was. He was always so cryptic with her, like he was hiding some mind blowing secret.

The two girls take their seats at their usual table, straight away being bombarded by Eric.
"La Push baby, you in?" He asks, plopping down next to Sam, looking at her and Bella pointedly.

Sam shrugs. "Should I know what that means?"

"It's a beach." Bella informs.

"La Push beach, down at the Quileute Rez. We're all going after school, big swell coming in." Mike chimes, jumping up on a chair and mimicking like he's surfing... and not well.

"There's whale watching too. Come with?" Angela practically pleads.

"La Push baby." Eric smirks.

Bella shrugs, looking to Sam for confirmation.

"We'll go if you stop saying that." Sam agrees, a small chuckle escaping her lips as the boys silently cheer.

Bella leans towards Sam. "What have we gotten ourselves into." She whispers.

Sam smirks, shaking her head before excusing herself to go to her locker, she really needed to stop getting so distracted, she forgot all the books she needed for her next lesson and she wouldn't be walking in the direction of her locker to get there.

She walked leisurely to her locker, observing the bland school corridors and couldn't help but think that the school was modelled after a prison.
Chuckling to herself at the thought she stops at her locker, quickly grabbing her books.

"Hello."

Startled, Sam fumbles and drops her books. Jasper, inhumanly fast, catches them with cat like reflexes.
He straightens, offering her her books back with a small smile.
