A warning
A storm of bullets and bombs is coming
But the sky is blue and hot and the leaves are sparkling green
But the sirens are never wrong from what the dead have seen
And when you hear the chaos and madness burst to song
You wonder how the soldiers could've ever been so wrong
My cat is alert but my feet stay put
Her eyes are wary in mad pursuit
Don't fret when things are silent
Out of a sudden the world turns violent
I stop dead in tracks
And watch as my cat attacks
Windows burst into tiny diamonds
Ears bleed from the screaming sirens
But it's silent again, calm settles in
I enter hell waking the demons within
Fresh ruins form, this city's not ancient
Destruction beams, it waited so patient
Millions gone, war pays, restoring the balance
Death breaths despair while breaking the silence
The war is(n't) over
