Chapter Six

I shielded my eyes from the bright white light surrounding me. Where was I? How did I even get here?. I slowly withdrew my hands from my face blinking a couple of times to let my eyes adjust to the light. I looked around me but was met with nothing other than whiteness which seemed to be going on forever.Just then I heard someone giggling. I tried to overlook the fact that it sounded so much like toby. I mean, what the hell would he be doing here,not that I knew why or how I myself was here.Another string of giggles knocked me out of my thoughts.

"Helloooo,whose there?"

As if to answer my question a silhouette of a child manifested infront of me.I would know that figure anywhere.
Toby!
Immediately I said his name, the features on the silhouette became visible and clear. Indeed it was toby. He looked really happy staring at me with a wide smile exposing his little milk teeth and even his eyes seemed to glow with joy. Though we were in a really weird situation, I couldn't help but smile back at him.His smile was just infectious. All over sudden he started running away laughing at the top of his voice.I started running after him.He must think we're playing tag or something. I was always faster than toby but for some reason I couldn't catch up with him.

"Toobyyy!stop, okay you win then you can stop now",
I yelled at him stoping to catch my breath but toby didn't stop infact it looked like he was disappearing in the white light.I started panicking so I took to my heels again.Without warning, the bright lights went off and I found myself running in really thick darkness.It was so thick you could cut it with a knife.I immediately came to a standstill as I felt all the hair on my body stand on edge.Did I just go blind or what. Just to be sure I closed my eyes then opened them again.
No,am not blind the lights really went off. Whatever game this was it wasn't fun and I wanted out.But, toby! Where'd he go.
