The next day, Nicole wakes up at 8 to get a head start on cooking for the party. She decides to do a buffet style of different foods. As she is getting everything together, Lance calls.

"Hey love what's up?"

"Hey we are at the store. What do you need us to get?"

"Can you get drinks please. Like beer, wine and juice for the kids. I already got cases of water here. Oh can you get huge bags of ice please? Like 4 of them."

"Ok. We will be on our way when we leave here."

"Ok. See you soon."

They hung up and returned to the matter at hand.

Nicole continues cooking as she hears foot steps behind her.

"Good morning JJ."

"Good morning mom."

He comes up and gives her a hug then proceeds to make him a bowl of cereal.

Some time later, they hear talking and footsteps coming from the hallway.

"We are here. Where do you want all this?" Announced Lance, with Michael trailing behind him.

"Put it on the counter."

They oblige and make their way giving hugs and kisses.

"Hey Uncle Lance and Uncle Michael." Greets Jordan.

"Hey JJ!" They say together, giving him a hug. "You want to help us take the rest of the bags out the car?"

"Sure." He puts his bowl and spoon in the dishwasher then follows them to the garage.

They return with the groceries and put them with the rest on the counter.

"Thanks guys. JJ go take a shower and make sure your room is clean."

"Yes mom." He hurried up the stairs to his room.

Lance and Michael set up everything for the drinks and turned on the music.

"It smells so good in here. Everyone better get here on time. I'm ready to eat now." Said Michael rubbing his stomach.

Nicole laughed. "I know right. They're gonna be upset when all the foods gone if they're late."

"So who's all coming over?" Asked Michael, taking a seat at the island.

"The group. Justin, Jessica, Silas, JC, Howie, Joey, Nick, Lauren, AJ and Brian. Chris and Kevin can't make it. Also some others."

Lance sits down next to Michael.

"So Bri is coming?"

Nicole shrugged. "I don't know. He never responded to my text. I hope Aj isn't bringing that girl with him. She is a pain to deal with. Always so damn negative."

"I know right. But I heard he finally broke up with her. He caught her cheating or something."

"That sucks. I hope he's okay."

"So what's the plan regarding Joey and Brian? Are you going to finally tell Brian or are you going to just focus on Joey? There's a chance they are both going to be here so I think you need to at least be a little prepared."

"I'm not sure. I did say I would at least try with Joey but I'm not 100 percent with the idea of telling Brian. It's going to be a lot going on today. I don't need to stress over that along with everything else."

"Just keep an open mind. You never know what could happen. It's ok to have options."

Nicole checks her phone for the time. 12:45. She finishes up the last tray of food and sets them all up before people start arriving.
