Part 40

I was thinking what to do with Jai while waiting for Beau to come back with the test. I had to be careful with this matter. I couldn't leave. I was in danger out there. I didn't want to leave. I was never the one to easily quit but I couldn't trust him anymore. I could only try to take us back to the nice days. Maybe like this I could trust him again. A knock was placed on the door and I rushed to open. I let Beau in and he instantly gave me the test which he had hidden under his jacket.

“They almost congratulated me on the store” he said and I giggled.

“I wish to you an easy, painless birth my friend” I said and walked to the bathroom.

“Darc” he said and I turned around.

“Whatever the result is...I’ll be here” he said.

“I already know what it is. Don't worry. It won't be needed” I smiled and shut the bathroom door behind me.

I read the instructions very carefully then took the test out. Even though I already knew what it would be, I couldn't help feeling nervous. Just the idea was enough to give me anxiety. When I used the rest I placed it on the edge of the bathtub and unlocked the door. When I did Beau ran to me.

“So?” he asked impatient.

“Relax. We need to wait 5 minutes” I tried to calm him down.

“Goooo. I’ll see it first” he said and walked by me and stood right above the test, hiding it from me.

“How come I’m more nervous than you?” he asked and I chuckled.

“Cause I already know I’m not pregnant. I just prefer to confirm things” I explained and leaned on the door waiting.

“Why are you so sure?” he asked.

“I would feel it. I often have a feeling for something” I explained.

“Oh, and that makes sense” he mocked me and focused back on the test. I sighed loudly and looked around the bathroom. I hated waiting. I almost made me sleepy.

“Darcy” Beau’s voice woke me. He laid his hand out without looking. I took it and he pulled me closer to him to see the results.

*at night*

Jai’s P.O.V
She still wouldn't talk to me. She was curled up in the corner of the couch looking at me but she wouldn't talk. I hated myself so much for this.

“Where are you going?” I asked when she stood up and went towards the staircase. I didn't ask strictly or angrily. More like a lost puppy.

“To bed” she answered.

“I’m coming” I didn't give her the opportunity to refuse and I followed her upstairs.

I took off my shirt and handed it to her. She hesitated a little but took it anyway. I lied down in just my sweatpants and stared at her while she was changing. Into those thigh-high socks, a pair of shorts and my shirt that always fell above the shorts. I pulled the blanked for her to lie down and covered her with it when she made herself comfortable. Her back was turned on me and mine on the wall. I would gaze at her hair at least.

“You said we would talk but you didn't talk to me. I guess you regretted it but it’s okay. I respect this but you know...I’m really, deeply sorry about what I did today. You believe me right?” I asked in desperation after a few minutes of silence.

“I believe you” she sighed and lied on her back, looking at the ceiling. I hesitatingly wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her close. I kissed all over her face. From the forehead to the nose and from the cheek to her lips. That’s where I gave all my attention getting deeper into our kiss with every breath.

I couldn't get enough of her. I climbed on top of her, balancing my weight on my elbows so she could breathe. I was kissing her with more and more passion, force, lust. I wanted so bad to keep going but I had to hold back and it was hard. So hard I could almost feel the pain.

“Forgive me” I pleaded with a weak breath when I broke the kiss and lied my forehead on hers.

“I forgive you” she whispered. That was all I needed to turn off the lights, place my head on her torso, wrap my arms around her waist and let myself fall asleep. How am I supposed to go on with the plan?
