Kapitel Six

Snow drifted down the grounds and produced heaps of white mess over the pile of dead bodies of the people that the blond begleiter killed today. On the other side, a male with light golden streaks of hair and ruby earrings trembled in the cold.

“Ha… ahahahaha,” the male mumbled as he stepped on a lifeless arm. “I won… heeheehahaha… Hey look Papa… ahahahahaha….”

The blond begleiter sent another enemy flying and heaved out a displeased sigh at his companion’s antics. “Don’t mock the dead, heretic.”

His companion started to spill tears with his right hand covering half of his face. “Unghh… ungh…” he fell on the snowy ground in exasperation.

Konatsu, the blond begleiter, stopped and put his sword to his side. His amber irises directed itself to the opposite male. This kid sure knew how to overreact…

“W-What is that!” the male grumbled at Konatsu. “They’re not moving!”

“Of course, they aren’t idio—”

“Even though I kicked them like that, they’re still not moving!”

Konatsu pursed his lips, feeling speechless as the opposite male reached out weakly. The opposite male gripped his triceps tightly. “I…I… I’ve never seen people who don’t move! Why? Will I be like that sometime too? I don’t want to! I don’t!”

This Oak kid… The male buried his face on Konatsu’s stomach, he trembled fiercely in fright as if something indiscernible was going to come for him soon. Konatsu cannot find the words to say to someone this scared.

She wouldn’t be as scared as this kid. She would even mock him for killing less people than she could kill.

Konatsu glanced at the people who lay dead on their feet. The snow started to pile up on their bodies burying them to the cold ground slowly.

They’re disappearing… If only this sadness could disappear with them…

The time was held gently by the snow that it seemed to put everything to a still. However, being the hardworking person that Konatsu was, he knew when time is already up.

“Let’s head back…” Konatsu pulled the opposite male’s grip off him. Without waiting, he took a heavy stride to leave the crime scene. The opposite male grunted and fell to a step behind the begleiter.

“…Konatsu-san, how can you tolerate all this?”

Konatsu continue to walk while his hand touched the hilt of his sword. “Did you not do this all in Military training, you idiot?”

A cloud of despair loomed over the teenager’s face. “Eh? W-We… I… I…”

Konatsu sighed harshly. “What did you do for the past three years?”

“Father wouldn’t let me do all this grime things! He wouldn’t let me in a battle without letting anyone protect me! That’s why he entrusted me to your income—”

Konatsu hurriedly covered the younger teen’s mouth to stop the insult that he might say concerning his superior. Coldly, Konatsu parted his lips to speak.

“We didn’t let you inside the Ribidzile just to babysit you jerk and we didn’t take you to Antwort to see you dead.”

He released the tear brimmed teen with scorn written all over his face. “Come on, walk faster, we need to get you to safety.”

The younger teen followed the begleiter obediently and silently. Other than being the hopeless idiot and being General Oak’s son, the younger teen-Shuri Oak-is nothing. For Konatsu, like her, he’s just an annoying spoiled brat.
