A place I never brought anyone? There is only one place I never brought anyone, not even Sierra.
"Why does it matter where I take you? You're going to fall in love with me either way, it's not like I have to try hard." I shrugged in annoyance. I looked over and she looked hurt at me words. O
"Then tell me something that you never told anyone before." Her eyes sparkled as she leaned to her side to face me.
"What's the point in that?" I questioned.
"For me to feel closer to you. It's a faster way to make me fall in love with you." She cocky smiled at me, resting her head on her hands.
"There's no use of you knowing anything about me, you know what you already need to know about me." I pointed out, her frown filled her face.
"Oh come on" Her smile returned back to her face.
"No."
" Fine"
"You can go back to your room, I have some work to finish up." I stated, standing from my bed and walking out the room.
Once I got downstairs, I slipped into my office. I took out my phone and dialed up Ark.
"This is different, you usually don't call me during the day."
" Report. "
"Right to business as usual," He sighed, " I haven't heard anything about any of his plans. "
This man is a complete moron.
"I want to see you." I spoke harshly, letting him know it wasn't a request but a demand.
" Where? "
"My house, be here in ten minutes." I urged, before hanging up the phone.
I crossed my arms over my chest as I sat at my desk. I looked around as I waited for him to show up, maybe I should hire a contractor to change up my office.
"Big man, where you at?" I heard a deep voice call out.
" Office. "
He knocked before he walked in, his face retorted into a frown.
"You're not going to kill me are you?" He questioned me taking a step back.
"If I was going to kill you Ark, you would have been dead as soon as you walked into my house." I smirked, leaning forward in my seat.
"True, what do you need." He smiled as he took a seat at my desk.
I placed my hands on the desk, and intertwined my fingers together as I placed them down.
"I want one of your men, looking out for Sierra. And before you say anything I'm not asking, I'm telling." I spoke, staying the same. Ark sat up in his seat.
" Are you sure? You do know my men? " His eyebrow lifted in confusion.
"Then make it your job to let them in on if they do anything to her I'll kill them, with you along with them." My eyes narrowed in frustration.
"Okay, okay. I get it Ryder." Ark lifts his hands to show he gets what I'm saying.
I nodded my head, I sat smugly in my chair as I leaned back.
"You may leave now, I have work to do." I nodded my head towards the door.
"See you around then Ryder"He got up giving me one last look before he left. I let a heavy sigh out once I heard my front door close.
A knock broke my conceration, I looked up to see Lillian standing and smiling at me.
"May I help you?" I questioned her, glaring.
"Come to bed."
"Now, is that a request or a demand?" I smirked placing the papers that were in my hands down.
"What, um i guess a request" Her cheeks reddened, she began to walk over to my desk.
"Can't I have a lot of work to do." I stated, bring the papers back to me.
When I didn't hear her say anything back i looked up and saw her face right in mine, as she was leaning over my desk.
"What are you doing?" I questioned narrowing my eyes, leaning back into my seat.
"Just looking at what the big man does" She smirked at me, announcing what Ark's nickname for me.
"What did you all hear?" I questioned her, my body stiffening up.
"Just a male voice coming in and asking where the big man was." She shrugged, looking down at me. My eyebrow raised as I stared back at her, "So are you coming to bed or not?" She added.
"I'll go to bed when I want. Pick any room that you want upstairs." I half-heartedly mumbled to her before looking down at my documents.
"Oh, I was going to spend the night with you, but ok" She sheepishly smiled at me.
I put my documents back down and stared up at her, "Goodnight Lillian" I smirked up at her before looking down. I heard her puff out a sigh before turning on her heels and exiting out of my office, before she closed the door she looked at me over her shoulder, "Goodnight Ryder." a smile at her lips.
I looked up at her and nodded my head before she disappeared through the door.
It was acouple hours after she went to bed that I finished the last document and placed them down.
"I should get some rest." I yawned out, standing from my chair and stretching. I made my way to my room, opening the door and closing it, I shuffled to my bed; plopping down on it. Letting the darkness suck me in as I fell into a deep sleep.
