Ryder Stone 15

I left for work that morning thinking that It would be uneventful. Until Ark calls me telling me he needs to see me. I meet him at a warehouse not far from my house. 

"Ark" I said walking in and seeing him waiting for me. He looked concerned.

"Uh, big man. So it's all set up. I got Zack and Carter looking after her, and don't worry they are the best of my guys. She won't know that they are there." He smiled as he lit up a cigarette. 

"Good" I nodded, I felt my phone start ringing which was Lillian's ringtone. I rolled my eye's but answered. 

'Yes' I spoke out kind of annoyance. 

  'Um.... Ark is here... What do you want me to do?'  

I looked at Ark standing in front of me. My heart started to speed up as I realized there was a unknown man at my house pretending to be one of my friends with my girl.

  'What are you talking about, I'm meeting Ark right now..... Lillian, Lock the door and go upstairs into my room and don't come down until I came and get you, DO you understand? I will be there as soon as I can!!' I yelled. We hung up and I looked at  Ark.

"Meet me at my house asap. Ill let you know what's going on when we get there." I called to him as I was running to my car and quickly getting into it and speeding all the way to my house. There was no one there when I got out. I took out the pistol that was in my glove box. Ark pulled up after me.

"Check around the house, see a guy, shoot him" I called to him, Ark shook his head and started checking.

I went inside and walked through my office, nothing was touched. I walked back out and checked the livingroom and the kitchen, nothing. Downstairs, nope. I went upstairs and checked them all, nothing. I went into my room.

"Lillian?" I called out loud.

I see the closet open a little bit and see Lillian poke her head out. Once she saw that it was me, she ran into my arms.

"Ryder.. I was so scared!" She yelled hugging onto me tightly. I wrapped my arms around her and squeezed her back. I placed my head onto hers and give her a soft kiss on the forehead.

"It's okay Lillian, I'm here.. No one's going to hurt you." I whispered loud enough for her to hear me, I felt her shaking to my arms. 

"The outside is clear, there's no one out there boss" I heard Ark called out to me from behind. I turned to him.

"Alright..Get back to the office" I responded, he nodded and left. 

We stood like that for a couple minutes.

"Lillian?" I called down to her, she lifted her head up to look at me, she had streams of tears falling down her cheeks.

"What did this guy look like?" I asked her, taking my thumb and wiping the tears away.

"He had black slick backed hair and brown eyes and a sharp jawline.. And I think maybe a tattoo, but i don't know... I wasn't really paying attention, I do know he was alone when he approached the house. I looked around to make sure." She spoke quietly. I could feel how terrified she was, her legs were shaking and her grip is weaker than normal. "Ryder..." She called out.

"mhmm" I hmed at her as I stroked her hair to make her calm down.

"I know you're going to turn this around, but thank you for coming to save me..." She half-heartedly smiled as she buried her face into my chest.

"Your welcome"

I pulled her away slightly to look down at her, her face is naturally starting to clear up. I placed my fingers under her chin to make her look up at me, "Lets order in tonight alright? Anything you want" I smiled at her.

"Hm..." She pondered as she placed a finger to her lips, she started to smile as she looked up at me, "Chinese sounds great!"

"Yeah, I haven't had Chinese in a while. What to do you want?" I asked heading towards my kitchen to find the Chinese menu that they gave me last time I ordered from there. Lillian was walking closed behind me making sure there was not a foot of space between us.

"Orange chicken would be lovely." She let a smile slip from her lips. 

"Alright. Give me a moment. After I make this call for food, I have some business to take care of." I spoke firmly.

She nodded and sat at the eat in kitchen and locked her eyes on me. I placed the order then headed towards the office were Ark was waiting for me.

"Find out who has been in my house. I want his name, his address everything. Do you understand me Ark. I want your connections out there now." I slammed my fists on my desk, making him flinch.

"Do you want us to take care of him, sir?" Ark asked taking out his cellphone, ready to dial up someone.

"No, I want you to bring him to me."

"Ryder... come on. Your a highly respected person. You need to keep your hands clean, let us take care of it." Ark spoke friendly, walking towards my desk.

"Do I look like I give a damn about my reputation right now. As you just said I'm highly respected, do you know why that is? I'm very good with words and when to use the charm I've been so blessed to have. I want the man whose been in my house alive. I want him now, Ark." I stood glaring at him.

Ark stood staring at me for awhile, like he was taking in everything I said and the way I looked.

"Are you more mad that this man broke into your house, or because he was here alone with her?"
