I was completely immersed in the killing. Killing titans took my mind of things, off my past and my probable future...

Hanji was at my side, making our way back to the wall. Perimeter defense was apart of my duty as a Scout, but tell me how I'm supposed to know my duty as a person, when I thought I knew. I fly through the air, hair shoved away from my face, my green (GUYS IT WAS SUPPOSED TO SAY GRAY GODDAMN AUTOCORRECT) eyes glinting from the exhilaration of the kill.

I couldn't stop slicing at titans, it wasn't necessary, not required, but the feeling of hot blood on my hands took my mind of things. The feeling of my swords slicing through thick flesh.

My feet touched the wall and I watched as all the others touched and started going up. Hanji glanced at me a concerned look on her face. I didn't look at her, her heart was too big for such a person like me, I didn't deserve love. I landed on the top of the wall and told the soldiers they were dismissed.

They whispered about me, even though I could hear the things they said, I didn't say anything.

I rappled down the wall, and began to walk away from it, toward my house. My house, that I had bought after I realized why he had come into my life.

Hanji joined me, walking with her hands interlaced on the back of her head, her eyes were watching me.
"What do you want," I spoke with a bored voice, ready for her to say 'Get your act together ' or 'Quit moping'

I hadn't smiled since that day, since the day we went in the alley and he sold me to Erwin.

I didn't want to think about him at the moment.

"You should come stay with me Levi," Hanji said walking in front of me and grabbing my shoulders, "Seeing you like this, hurts Levi, you used to be a warrior, who could smile and laugh. Tell the soldiers good job and provide support." She shook me, making me look in her tearful eyes.

"Please Levi, let me help you heal, talk to me, what happened to you?"

"Nothing important," I replied and stepped away from her, and continued walking. I'm never trusting anyone again, I know where that road leads.
