I couldn't find him. Not even a trace of him, I drove for a good half hour and not one sign of where he was.

I began to panic, gripping the steering wheel until my knuckles turned white. He was a neko and nekos sell for good money.

If he had to go back to that horrible life, living from master to master and praying he got a good one this time, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself.

I drove past an alley and saw a flash of black in the white snow, hope welled up as I thought about the possibility of Eren curled in the snow as a cat. I hoped he hadn't gotten sick from this or I would kill Petra next time I saw her.

I jumped out my car and ran out, it wasn't him, my hopes crashed like into a million pieces and I cursed. He was still missing all because of me. Because of something stupid I did. I noticed the hat was one I had seen for him. I had put it on his head as he protested about the price, but money was nothing to me. He looked so cute in it and when he was in public it brought less attention from the thugs willing to sell him for fast cash. Tears dripped from my eyes as I noticed his little initial on the tag. A thing he did when he came home because he was so excited to have gotten brand new clothes.

A scratchy E peered up at me, meaning the someone knew he was neko. I needed to find him quickly.

I noticed some faint tire tracks in the snow and walked toward them, they looked familiar and a bad feeling hit my gut, these tire marks didn't mean anything good. Then I smelled it, the faint smell of a knock out gas. Eren had been taken.
