"Hey." She heard from her doorway, Riley looked up to see Maya smiling at her
"Well hello." Riley chuckled "What brings you by?"
"Nothing really, I just wanted to come by."
Riley rose an eyebrow and patted next to her for Maya to sit down, causing her to chuckle and plop down next to Riley.
"What is this really about?" She asked
"This is like 63% me wanting to be in your presence and 37% me wanting to talk."
"I see your math a has improved." Riley joked as Maya pushed her lightly "What I'm serious." She laughed
"Riley." Maya whined playfully
"Alright fine." She smiled "What did you want to talk about?"
Maya breathed in deeply "What was it like after I left? I know you may not want to talk about it, but I'm curious to what I had caused. By then I was only getting second had information from Farkle, and God knows how reliable he is."
Riley chuckled slightly "That's Farkle for you." She thought for a moment "After you left was hard, and not just on me but you already knew that. For me it was hard because, well, having your bestfriend disappear from the face of the Earth is difficult."
Maya sat up attentively as Riley explained what she had felt and went through. Her heart sank deeper and deeper as Riley went on, not only talking about herself, but Lucas. It was already obvious he had taken it it the hardest, but Riley was a close second.
"I will admit living with Lucas was weird at first, but I got used to it. It was like we had both developed some odd type of attachment to each other, but it was helpful. Of course you already know he was a hardcore drinker up until he became the tea drinking hippie we love and know today." She said chuckling "Lucas was a big help when it came to coping with your absence, and when explaining it to anyone else they would think it was a bit much, but it was kind of lossing a family member of some sort." Maya could tell she was tearing up so she wrapped her arms around her
"I'm so sorry Riley, I didn't think it'd be that bad. I figured you guys would've been just fine with each other."
Riley wiped the tears from her eyes "Don't be sorry, everything happens for a reason. You needed to leave, it's okay to be selfish sometimes, you needed this time for you. That's understandable."
"I just feel so bad." Maya said holding back tears "I've been gone so long, and so much changed. It saddens me that you and Lucas both went through that because of me. And I'm not even sure how you forgave me so easily."
"I forgave you because I know you Maya, three years isn't really that long when you think about it."
"You know I'd feel a lot better if you hated me right now." She said making Riley chuckle
"I could never."
"Not even for like five minutes?" Maya joked
"Nope, never." Riley grinned
"Aw come on." She groaned
"I'm sorry Maya." Riley shrugged playfully
"Yeah okay." Maya chuckled
Riley smiled "I missed you."
Maya grinned "I missed you too."

"So you mean to tell me-" He started
"Don't even say it aloud." Farkle groaned
"Aw come on Farkle, you can only do so much."
"I don't even know why I'm talking to you of all people." He said rolling his eyes
"Because you don't want to admit that Lucas is right."
"Shut up Charlie." Farkle basically growled
"It's true and you know it." He continued "Admit it Farkle, he's right."
"Leave if all you're going to do is lecture me." He spat
Charlie sighed as he opened Farkle's front door "Fine, but you really need to stop being so stubborn. Your friend just doesn't want to see you die from this." He said slaming the door behind him
Farkle groaned loudly.
He was tired of everyone trying to get him to do what they want. First his father, then Lucas with his hippie ephiphany shit, and now Charlie was siding with him. And Farkle knew damn well thatt everyone else would too, he just refused to admit it. He knew he was beings stubborn, but it was only going to get worse from there.
"Farkle?" His father called as he walked into his penthouse
"Yes Father." He sighed
"Aw cheer up son, we have business in China this week."
"You, you have business in China this week."
"How are you going to take over the company if you don't learn about our international affairs?" Stuart chuckled as if it was a normal joke
"I'm not taking over the company, we already talked about this. I'm finishing my classes this year, then I'm going into science. Not Minkus International." He said rolling his eyes.
Farkle had been through this many times with his Farkle. The company just wasn't for him, but Stuart just didn't grasp the fact that he wasn't taking over.
"Which one of us is paying for this penthouse?" His father asked
Farkle sighed "You are."
"And who is paying the extra expenses your scholarship didn't pay for?"
"You are."
"And who is going to be the new owner of Minkus International?"
Farkle sighed once again, deeper and more heavily this time
"I am."
