Take Me There - Chapter Six

A/N: It took a while to write, I'm sorry for that. I hope you like it though.

Chapter Six

            “Nrrgghh. No…” Niall protested half asleep.

            “Niall. Come on. We’re already running a little late. Please?” Liam begged his boyfriend.

            “Li, five more minutes please? Just lay down with me for a little longer.” Niall whimpered.

            “Only five minutes. Then we need to step on it.” Liam sighed in comfort as he lay down next to Niall, pulling the sleepy boy on top of him.

            “Nrrgh. Li. I’m sleepy though.” Niall complained.

            “I know. I know. I’m sorry. But we should get up now.” Liam carefully lifted his boyfriend up and helped him stand up.

            “Right. You forgot your clothes downstairs. Why don’t you just borrow some of mine since we’re in a rush.” Liam picked through his closet, trying to find the smallest pair of jeans he had.

            “Here these should work.” Liam handed the blonde boy a pair of jeans and a baggy shirt. Niall rubbed his eyes and slowly started to pull everything on.

            “I’ve already made breakfast before I woke you up. After we eat we need to head out. Okay?” Liam ruffled his boyfriend’s hair and walked out of the room, Niall following him to the kitchen.

            “Liam? We’re taking two horses right?” Niall asked as he followed his boyfriend towards the barn.

            “Yep. One for supplies and one for us.” Liam explained, entering the barn.

            “Why can’t a ride one by myself?” Niall questioned.

            “Niall. I just… I don’t think you have enough experience. It’s not like it’ll be hard on the horse. You don’t weigh much babe.” Liam told the other boy as he was packing things up and putting them on the second horse.

            “I still don’t understand why I need to go with.” Niall leaned against the wall.

            “I want you to, and I think you’ll have fun once we get going. It’ll just be us two out in the open. No one can bother us.” Liam smiled at the thought, waving the blonde boy over.

            “I still have trouble getting up on them.” Niall mumbled to himself, but Liam had heard it.  Liam lifted the lighter boy on to the tall animal, with only minimal protest from Niall.

            “I could of done it!” Niall whined, sliding up farther on the horse so Liam could get on behind him.

            “Right… We would have been here for awhile.” Liam joked and carefully slid his right leg over the saddle. Liam pulled the other boy back until he was flush against him.

            “Ready Niall?”

            Niall nodded, leaning his head back against his boyfriend’s shoulder. In Niall’s opinion, it was too early to be riding a horse. He decided to try and rest a bit before they got to the other ranch where they were supposed to pick up the cows, but it wasn’t an easy feat to sleep on a moving horse.

            “Niall? What are you doing?” Liam laughed, pulling on the reins to change the direction of the horses.

            “’M trying to sleep. Li. Shhh” Niall mumbled, making the other boy laugh out loud causing Niall to shake slightly.
