song of the chapter: toothbrush - DNCE
"wake up anthony!" jake barged in, causing tessa to flop out of bed onto the floor.
"what's going on?" anthony mumbled groggily, observing tessa on the floor.
"i'll just leave you too alone." jake wiggled his eyebrows up and down obnoxiously, slowly leaving the two alone.
"it's freezing in here." tessa chuckled through chattered teeth.
"you can borrow this." anthony suggested, tossing tessa his favorite hoodie.
slipping the soft hoodie over her head, tessa was engulfed in the warmth and smell of anthony, almost like it was a hug that was everlasting.
[...]
"beach day anyone?" anthony asked cheerfully to the zombie like roommates gathered in the kitchen drowning themselves in gatorade and tylenol.
"i think i'm gonna sleep the rest of the day." chance lifted his head up from the table.
"i'm dead inside." nick replied dryly.
"thanks but no thanks and is that your hoodie?" erika spoke quietly, hoping to refrain from a head ache.
"tonerrrr, and toner's hoodie?" chad greeted, approaching tessa and anthony.
"beach day?" anthony questioned.
"nah, y'all hit!" chad joked, joining the apocalypse-like area in the kitchen.
"guess it's just us again." tessa shrugged, letting her sunglasses rest on the bridge of her nose.
anthony and tessa went to their rooms and packed a bag for the beach, meeting back at the door in a solid ten minutes.
"see you guys later!" tessa shouted as a wave of mumbles echoed from the kitchen.
the short car ride to the beach consisted of the two obnoxiously singing older rap songs to each other and anthony trying to race anyone that sped by him.
"i love this song." tessa gasped, nodding her head to the beat of the timeless drake song.
"baby you my everything, you all i ever wanted," anthony sang along, concentrating on the road.
"cause she hold me down every time i hit her up." tessa turned her head, singing to anthony, tracing his jawline with her hand, earning a toothy smile from him.
"ugh you're so cute, i just wanna eat guac out of your dimples." tessa swooned.
"ah, goo lagoon." anthony spoke in his best impersonation from spongebob, as the two pulled up to the beach.
as tessa and anthony reached the scorching sand, tessa immediately jumped back. anthony then signaled for her to jump on his back.
"you're the best." tessa smiled gratefully, enjoying her free ride to the cooler parts of sand.
anthony set up the blanket and umbrella as tessa ran and took a dip in the ocean.
anthony layed on the blanket, contently listening to tessa make stupid jokes and laugh. tessa's laugh is one of anthony's favorite sounds, being that it could brighten even his worst days.
"come in, the water feels amazing." tessa flashed a smile, turning around to walk slowly past anthony.
it was a cool day out, anthony knew damn well that the water is freezing, it would take some serious persuasion for him to even go near the water, and it looked like tessa was doing very well at that.
anthony watched as tessa walked into the ocean, his eyes slowly trailing down.
"no, anthony, it's cold." anthony mumbled to himself, shaking his head.
"come on." tessa sighed, intertwining her hands with anthony's attempting to make him get up.
"it's cold." anthony protested.
"will this persuade you?" tessa spoke seductively, scrunching her face to make what she thought was the ugliest face possible.
anthony thought for a few moments, stifling a laugh from what was going on in front of him.
"eh, you're cute, fine." anthony finally budged.
as the two made their way to the cold water, anthony concocted a plan in his head.
"is that a dolphin?" anthony gasped, pointing randomly as tessa looked for the dolphin. anthony then quickly scooped up tessa, throwing her into the water.
"where's the dolphin?" tessa questioned after emerging from the ice water.
anthony joined tessa in the water, only to be attacked by splashes.
"i'm gonna catch the dolphin, okay?"
tessa nodded in response, still unaware if he is joking or not.
"caught her." anthony smiled, placing tessa on his back.
"stop, i really thought there was a dolphin." tessa laughed, resting her head on anthony's shoulder.
anthony and tessa moved further into the ocean, hoping to maybe see a real dolphin.
the two floated and flirted until anthony felt a sharp pain in his foot.
"i think i just cut my foot on something." anthony stated, grabbing his foot.
"aright, let's get you home before a shark gets us." tessa flashed a smile, helping anthony to shore.
[...]
"your feet are gnarly." tessa scrunched her face, observing anthony's large foot.
"my mom says i have cute feet." anthony pouted.
"the cut isn't deep, i don't think you'll need stitches." tessa spoke, concentrating on cleaning the cut.
"she's got battle scars, dude." anthony spoke in his bro voice, quoting scott pilgrim.
"and you're all set." tessa spoke, finishing up the bandaging.
"thank you, kiss it to make it feel better?" anthony smiled his goofy smile, holding his foot up high.
"how about i kiss you here instead?" tessa slowly placed her lips on anthony's.
"definitely better than a toe kiss." anthony chuckled, breaking the kiss.
