Jackson and I looked at Jae, my eyes widened, Jackson squinted his eyes at Jae like he's telling Jae he's not getting ice cream.
Jae smiled innocently but then smirked when Mrs. Yoon turned back to me and Jackson.
Mrs. Yoon: Ah, come on. I'll make you dinner.
We went and sat on an empty table.
Jae still had that smirk on his face.
Jackson: You're not getting any ice cream!
Jae: Fine with me.
Jae shrugged as he winked at a young girl about 2 tables away from us.
I raised my eyebrows in surprised.
He's really no ordinary kid.
A few minutes later, Mrs. Yoon brought our food to us. She placed them on the table and she gave us extra side dishes, she even put more portions in the food.
She's such a nice lady.
Mrs. Yoon: Enjoy your food.
Me: She's a really nice lady.
I said as Mrs. Yoon walked back into her kitchen. Jackson smiled at me.
Jackson: She is. I've known her for about 5 years now.
Me: You guys seem really close.
Jackson: Yeah. The first time I came here, I was with my best friend.
We would always come here almost everyday and that's how we got to know Mrs. Yoon. She's a nice lady.
Me: That's very sweet.

After eating, it was only 6 since we ate dinner pretty early. It was still bright outside,it's summer.
Jackson: Well... thank you for having lunch with me.
He said as he walked out of the restaurant after saying goodbye too Mrs. Yoon.
Me: Thanks for treating me.
We looked at each other for a while.
Not saying one word.
Why are you looking at him Mina?
Don't forget who he is.
I snapped out of my thoughts as Jae spoke.
Jae: Stare at her later.
You need to take me home.
Jackson closed his eyes and sigh.
He smiled then looked at me.
Jackson: I'm sorry.
He scratched the back of his neck and avoid eye contact with me.
Me: It's okay. I'll go now.
Jackson: Oh! I can take you home...
Me: No its fine. I want to take a walk.
Plus, it's still bright out.
Jackson: O-okay... see ya then.
Me: See ya.
I turned around and walked the other way. Jackson was watching me walk until I was out of sight.
